On January 12, 1966, ABC premiered the first episode of “BATMAN” starring Adam West, Burt Ward, Alan Napier, Frank Gorshin & Jill St. John. The program was a colorful, comedic and campy adaptation of the DC Comic which became on overnight phenomenon.
With the show turning 60 years old today, I wanted to celebrate it and also do so in a more annotated way with factoids, history, research and fun statistics to tell the tale of the show rather than just a simple conversation about episodes. I’ve taken it on as a solo venture, though perhaps a guest may pop in for the future as though I’m climbing a building and a window pop open.
I hope you share the love of this series or just enjoy hearing/learning more about it. I’d love to continue, but its a decent amount of work, so we’ll see how it goes. I had bigger production plans for this, but time/money/life weren’t going to permit my showman ship, but I wanted to get this up and going anyway. Perhaps I’ll see you next week, same Brandon Peters Show release day, same Brandon Peters Show podcast.
The Brandon Peters Show will return.
