The miracle at Pentecost was nothing short of God’s new creation, a glorious new and permanent creation in which we fully participate through Jesus Christ. 

The book of Acts, Volume II of Luke’s history, chronicles the initial restoration of God’s kingdom which was promised to King Jesus and His church, a restoration to be accomplished through the faithful witness of His Spirit-empowered followers.

If we’re to be truly holy people, sin must become so utterly sinful that we readily and eagerly embrace a lifestyle of humble repentance. 

The New Testament church was a new organism which accomplished great things for Christ; therefore, if the 21st century church especially in America wants a similar legacy, she must understand and devote herself to emulating the character of that effective New Testament church.

In the fullness of time God kept his promise by sending his Son Jesus Christ to redeem sinners who were cursed with death and enslaved in futile labor under law. 

To answer life’s futility due to sin we must heed the wise words of the gospel by faith in Christ, who alone faces our judgment, defeats our sin & gives us hearts made new to fear God & obey him.
