Moses wrote of Easter as he foreshadowed a Champion who would go from glory down into the dust to rescue his fallen people and raise them from the dust to glory. 

As we see Christ’s Kingdom advance from Jerusalem to Samaria in triumph against satanic opposition, we can have confidence to boldly advance His kingdom today.

Because the dwelling place of God has always been the Person of Jesus Christ, those who are in Christ can fearlessly identify with Jesus.

Gospel proclamation is protected by the whole church’s commitment to sacrificial service, which makes even our most mundane acts of service crucial to our gospel mission.

The gospel progresses not in spite of opposition but as a result of it because in God’s economy, life comes from death.

Sin inside the church is much more dangerous to the health of a church and her mission than sinful opposition from outside the church.

The Spirit of Christ’s word ministry is how we can continue to live boldly for Christ amid adversity.

Through sign and sermon, Israel is offered restoration from exile through repentance and faith in the long-expected Messiah – a restoration that is still offered in Jesus today.

The result of Pentecost is a Spirit-filled community, shown by the believer’s devotion to teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. Our church, if it is to be a faithful church, must be the same.

The risen Lord Jesus, who welcomed into His covenant those who killed Him, still welcomes sinners who turn to Him in faith.
