RUNWITHALLI LIVE

Coaches Corner: Mindful Running With Fellow Run Coach, Jaci Wilson

Listen Later

On today's episode, Jaci Wilson, Fellow Run Coach and Distance Runner join the show's Host, Run Coach Alli.

Jaci focuses on "ALL THE THINGS" outside of a training plan. She received her run coach certification from Road Runners of America (RRCA). She can now help more runners by offering a holistic approach to running and training soon-to-be runners under the Runwithalli brand! Jaci builds training plans for each athlete's goals and races to meet where they're at in their fitness journey. Jaci loves getting to know the athletes she works with and helping them understand the parallels between running and life – any lesson that pops up during training can be applied to life!

Jaci is a firm believer that you need to eat to RUN, derived from her nutrition program that she pays forward and tailors to others' needs to help them develop a holistic training strategy. This approach allows Jaci to work with athletes to find their WHY and change their lives on a deeper level. This is a part of her story and past experiences shaping her coaching methodology.

In Jaci's own words, "It is my OBLIGATION to share how this opportunity has changed my life! How saying YES to myself and taking my health seriously changed my body, my mind, my running game, my relationship with food, my career path, my happiness, and my LIFE." She looks forward to helping YOU do the same!

Today on the show, we discuss:

  • Jaci's PRE & POST Burnout, both of which comprise what she calls her "two-step" running journey.
  • The importance of appreciating the journey, the training, and thinking about your long-term running goals to achieve your success as a runner.
  • The importance of mental training as a part of your holistic training strategy, and all of the other little things, as Jaci says herself, "ALL THE THINGS."

And more! TUNE-IN to find out!
