In these special Christmas and New Year episodes I look at the Jersey Joe Walcott story. He is often considered one the most underrated heavyweight boxers in history. This is not another biography but a look into the background and conditions that made Walcott's fight to succeed so remarkable. 

We begin in December 1944 when the great fighter has given up on his dreams and look back at what created this situation.
