Really, all you frustrated Kansas Republicans can rest assured voting for an independent candidate WON’T mean Biden could win your state.  Trump’s win in Kansas is already baked in. 

Same holds true for New York… frustrated Democrats can freely vote third party knowing there’s no way Trump will win the state.

So, get over it.  Send a message this year to the respective political monopolies that we need more choices.  Register your most important vote ever by NOT voting for a UniParty candidate.

We’ve decided to agree with both of them. Because either way both of these UniParty members simply want total control over us ordinary folks.

The “right-left spectrum” no longer exists… they’re all clumped up on one side (let’s call them the “Power Hungry Party”).

At the other end of the spectrum are anarchists (a.k.a. libertarians). We’ll call them Freedom Without Boundaries Party.

Now, the other 80 percent of us are in the middle of this new spectrum. Reasonable rules of the road to keep society from turning our streets into a clown rodeo (with all due respect to clowns). Yet maintain the highest level of personal freedom to live, love and be joyful with respect for all individuals.

This is how a Third Political Party separates itself from today’s political nonsense. In other words, the party becomes a “Political Friend With Benefits.”

Enjoy yourself but within some pragmatic rules and programs so we help each other out… and discourage people from doing really stupid things (yes, we think law enforcement remains a good thing).

Heck, both the GOP and Dems claim they’re the champions for the average gal and guy on the street. 

But most political arguments end up being about the extremes at each end.  Tax the rich/don’t tax the rich.  More social programs for the poor/make the poor work for it.

The point is each side names their respective demons at the extremes to create the insanity that drives political fundraising. A third party can break through this craziness by collaborating on policies that create better lives for the 85 percent of us who are not at the extremes of being inhumanely poor — or unimaginably  rich.

Should any president… let’s say Biden or Trump… be allowed to kill their political opponents?

We won’t go down that rat hole!  But that’s the recent crazy talk that needs to be eliminated.  How?

A third political party would go a long way to move the country from violent rhetoric and back to rational policy discussions.  

In a nearly 50-50 political divide, even a small percentage of independents being elected provides the leverage of “juststop it or we won’t provide the votes to pass anything!”

OK, some of us failed high school algebra.  But we can do simple addition! 

The “uncommitted” and other protest votes during primaries in places like Michigan, Minnesota and California do add up to a formidable force!

Heck, even here on the Left Coast, a Republican (Steve Garvey) has made it to the U.S. Senate race… versus two Democrats.  The GOP (of course) showed up… but so did the Independents that pushed Garvey over the top. 

Regardless of not having a formal party, these are all good signs that most of us in the middle of the political spectrum

It’s right before Super Tuesday, and we’re exhausted by all the silly ads criticizing the California U.S. Senate Candidate for the company they keep.  It’s tribalism 24/7 with no substance about

But we also drop in to talk about Congress’ inability to pass a budget. The “ingenuity” of the Trump trials.  Is the mess the country is in “déjà vu all over again”… or is it even worse? Can pregnant women now drive in the carpool lane in Alabama? It’s time to put age limits on the presidential candidates. Do these old guys running the country understand basic biology and how most abortions are handled these days? If it’s OK to say “Islamic terrorism” is it now OK to say “Christian Terrorism?” It’s time for the Church to leave the State… in terms of politics.

But here’s a real opportunity for a third political party to take a stand.  Let’s push for replacing the income tax with a consumption” tax.  It’s truly the fairest system of all.
