There is almost no parallel between Icelandic politics and U.S. politics.  So, congratulations to Iceland for remaining sane about how the country operates and elects people.  We bow in your honor.

 But Iceland does miss the political intrigue we have here...

Millions of hard-working folks don’t qualify for government programs that assist low-income individuals to keep roofs over their heads.  They make just a little too much to qualify,

Enter “attainable housing” initiatives being lead by organizations like Upward Community. 

Billions continue to be spent to solve chronic homelessness

Complaining… that’s exactly what the UniParty (Democrats and Republicans) have mastered so well.

So, all Independents exhausted by those who point fingers (instead of suggesting solutions) or crying victimhood (rather than be open to civil discussion)… should take the "no whine, show

The U.S. has a long history of political parties coming-and-going. And we're now in the midst of seeing it happen again with the GOP.

HOW IN THE HECK DOES A THIRD POLITICAL PARTY FIND SUPPORTERS?

Churches are focused on political power as much as scripture these days (good for the GOP!).  Universities are seemingly incubators for progressive ideas more so than developing well-rounded young folks to lead in the future (good for Democrats!).

So, where and how does a third political party grow its support base? 

DOES VOTING FOR THIRD PARTY CREATE A CALAMITY FOR THE COUNTRY?

Funny thing about the rapid rise of Third Political Parties these days.

The UniParty (Democrats and GOP) want folks to think voting outside of “their” system will cause calamity by spoiling the election for[fill in the blank of the demon that might be placed into power].

How ironic. The UniParty places the blame on those trying to break the ongoing logjam of unsatisfactory candidates that it keeps fielding!

TRUMP… IS HIS FRAUD TRIAL FOR REAL OR POLITICAL PURPOSES?

Trump… love him or hate him. We have no opinion about the guy other than he’s just another leader of the UniParty (Republicans and Democrats) that really benefits from keeping the country divided.

But what really matters — at least in the New York fraud

That’s something we should all care about.  Imagine if this becomes a normal political tactic?

WHY A THIRD POLITICAL PARTY SHOULD END MARRIAGES

Here’s our latest vote for a Third Political Party platform…

OK, somewhat tongue-in-cheek… but it’s an easy policy position to remove the word “marriage” in regard to any state’s authority of two people becoming “contracted” soulmates.

Screaming, shouting and name-calling leads us to wonder if Republicans and Democrats subconsciously are supporting

A huge majority of Americans appreciate democracy… so why aren’t we focused on that? Inquiring minds want to know.

Also on deck… has affirmative action been one of the best policies ever (but is need of some re-engineering?). Education reform. The odd potential pairing considered by the No Labels party. The pettiness of Congress that we’d never allow as parents. And are boys now being left in the dust by girls?

It’s another week of third party political action.  Or, in other words, John and Bill yakking about what they would do if in charge of the political universe (save us all!).

Finally, confession time.  Bill actually endorses something that right-winger Senator Josh Hawley is proposing.  And John learned an important lesson about third party candidates after unknowingly supported a white supremist years ago.

And could a third political party sharpen the focus of how to reduce gun deaths by providing leadership on a few simple

Independents could unite on simple starting points to make progress on reducing gun-related violence. 

Besides, we would really like to talk less about mass shootings.  And yak more about making tortillas, appreciating skateboarding legends and debate the finer points of beer and hard seltzers (also topics in this week’s show).
