Jonah is in the belly of the great fish and he cries out to God because God saved him from death. God is a merciful, compassionate God treating us in a way we do not deserve.

We continue our study in the book of Jonah, as we look at Jonah 1-7-17. We see that these events that took place in Jonah's life actually point to events that would take place hundreds of years later with Jesus. Jonah points us to the Gospel of Jesus.

In Jonah 1-1-6 we see God coming to Jonah and telling him to get up and go to the great city of Nineveh. But Jonah chooses to disobey God's command. In our lives, are we walking in obedience to God's Word or are we telling God, -No, there is no way I am going to obey You--
