Today we finish our series on the book of Habakkuk as we look at Habakkuk 3-13-19. Habakkuk continues praying to God and after Habakkuk reminds himself of how God worked throughout the history of Israel, he tells God that in spite of the coming suffering he chooses to rejoice in the LORD. Habakkuk continues praying to God. In the first part of Habakkuk's prayer, he reminds himself of how God has worked in the past throughout the history of the nation of Israel. He then reminds himself that God is mighty warrior displaying His power. This brings him hope. Our faith is built upon the character of God. We can continue to have faith in God in the midst of uncertainty because God never changes, which means His Word never changes.

After God explains to Habakkuk his plan of judgment upon the Chaldeans and upon the nation of Israel, Habakkuk prays to God. In this section of his prayer, he tells God that he doesn't understand His plan, but because of who He is, he can continue to trust in Him. In our current situation with COVID-19, we have many questions, but we need to get to the same place, that in spite of our circumstances, we can trust God.
