    Greetings everyone, hope we all had a splendid weekend. This is another week here on Hive Open Mic and to I say welcome mi familia this new is definitely going to work in our favour. I remain my humble self @coderaikiri and for this edition, my entry will be an acapella cover to the song I celebrate my waconzy.

    There is just something about this song that makes it very relatable especially with all the troubles that comes with living. Growing up this song was quite popular during the early 2000s, I never really understood what the artist was singing but enjoyed the song regardless. As I grew older, the lyrics started to make more sense, it wasn't the ordinary secular music one dance to because it was popping. It was a young man telling his story, how hard things were for him, his absentee father, losing a good life at a young age, how things never really turned out well until God took over and turned his story around. It was a sound of appreciation thanking the Heavenly Father for coming through when no one else did, overcoming all life had to through at him and becoming the man he is today. He had nothing but now he is super duper bigger so why won't he celebrate, why won't he sing to the one who made it all possible and allowing those who doubted him see it happen.
    My favourite part of the song is where he is thanking God for being alive to see another, thanking him for forgiving him despite his sins and being able to celebrate.
    Overall the song is one of gratitude, appreciation and prayers. So whatever it is you are going through, celebrate because victory is actually closer than you think.

I am @coderaikiri and for my entry this week I'll be presenting a cover to the song Dudu by Ruger - a banger from the album blown boy Ru.

    It has always been a thing of joy to watch Ruger drop incredible works and in this recent album, brother did not miss. The entire package was filled with bangers that I still can't pick my favorite . In this song he teams of with Caribbean sensation Kranium exploring deep into his dancehall abilities to produce a bit. It still hurts the song is not receiving the recognition it deserves however I intend on enjoying it regardless.
    I remember when the song dropped I was complaining to a friend about how underwhelmed and disappointed I was with it. I abandoned it for weeks but something strange happened I accidentally set my playlist on shuttle and the song popped and since then I have been memorized by the groove.

    Music has always been a big part of my life since childhood thanks to friends, family and the neighbors. I had no particular taste in music, as long as it felt good that was my jam. As I continued to grow, I found my self drawn to RnB, blues and hip pop but hated rap cus it always seemed way too rough for me. However I currently appreciate it for what it is even if it might never be my strongest suit.     My content for the community will be an acapella to the song Only me by 2face Idibia. There is a story attached to this very soon, one laced with sentimentality and bonding. Growing up, we had this neighbor - Joseph who was like a big brother to me. He was an aspiring musician and always made sure I was a part of his world. When I was 11, he wrote a song about his insecurities using the instrumentals of the song Only me as the beats. Brother Joe told me I need to learn how to sing the original song too as well just so I can flow with his works and Continous practice birth a genuine love for the song.

    Greetings friends, brethren and my fellow lovers of Hive, it has been awhile since I participated in this incredible community due to personal complications but thank God I am here again and it already feels like home.

    Welcome once again to another edition of praise and worship. For the 67th edition, I'll be presenting an acapella to the song train wreck by James Arthur.
    The song is a relatable song to Christians and every person out there who is feeling lost, confused and lacks direction to coordinate their life affairs. It is a cry for help from someone who is truly going through challenges and seeking for divine intervention. At some point the artist is even confused about who is praying to but he still prays regardless with a belief that God will surely rescue him.
    At the surface level the song sounds like a secular one but if when you really connect to the lyrics of the song, you get to see it for what it truly is and discover the massive religious themes surrounding it.
    I pray that we all overcome whatever difficulties we are currently going through in our various lives in Jesus name. Amen

    Welcome to my blog, I am @coderaikiri and this is my life. The blockchain has always an avenue to express oneself, be the best you possible with little to no restraint while also accommodating room for growth and development. Since I was kid I have always been a lover of music thanks to the environment I grew up in. I may not be really good at it but there is never moment in my life that music has not been a part of, till this very day is even impossible for me to bath or do any activity without a song being my motivator. And since hive is all about expression, what better way can I express myself other than music.
    I'll be presenting a song titled Answer which is an original idea from a colleague in school by the name of Damithurnam. He is still an underground artist but his works are top notch. This particular work is actually my favorite from all his hardwork and as a believer of love songs, it resonates with me deeply.     For my 269th entry I'll be performing an acapella to the song Sorry by Justin Bieber . Sorry: A response to the theme of the week "The last time" is a part of Justin's 2015 album titled purpose. The song is an apology to someone for all the pain caused and seeking for one last chance at forgiveness. Bring a teenager when I first heard of this song, I didn't care much about the lyrics as I was solely carried away by the melody of song but being an adult I completely understand what it is all about, It is song about a flawed person admitting his flaws and searching for forgiveness.
