Cody and Joe

The Good Stuff features a 4 year old girl with cerebral palsy 7 weeks after spinal surgery and taking the very first steps of her life.  The joy in her voice is incomparable!  Every try or do something that sounded really fun and then wasn't?  We asked that and got some surprising answers including something that's near and dear to Pat's heart.  A 2 year old girl hands out burritos to fire fighters in Redding.....and a way for you to help the Redding fire victims.  Finally, 3 thieves in San Antonio stole a shark from an aquarium.  How and why they did it will leave you feeling really good about yourself (and yes....the shark was returned and is doing well).

Good news out of the Carr Fire (as devastating as it's been), also how to donate to the victims and support the firefighters.  Cody gained a new fan over the weekend who had a suggestion on how to spice up her live appearances.  A little league team from Rocklin heads to the Western Regionals (and if they win therre it's off to the Little League World Series in Williamsport).  And what is it that Pat loves and Cody does not like (or does she?!)

Ever overdone something to prove you've still got it?  Not sure if it was his s.o. buying knives at the state fair and then taking him to the music circus, but the next day Pat went for a loooong bike ride and today can't feel his legs.   Maren Morris is working on a duet with a Big Name in country music.  Cody has a great story about the guy who played Porter in the movie "The Sandlot," running into a guy (age maybe 15) wearing a shirt with Porter's pic from the movie and having no clue who Porter (actor Patrick Rena) was.  You're Killing Me Smalls!!  And when it comes to guys, what's Cody's Kryptonite?  Her top 3 answers will probably surprise you.

A DMV worker has been napping at her desk 3 hours a day for the last 3 years!  Who is your laziest coworker?  We asked you to do that in 6 words or less.  Man, you work with some lazy people!  Ever have a screaming pizza delivered?  Us either but after we heard how it works we're gonna try it.  Have you ever been behind one of those cars that has  Harvard Dad,  Yale Mom or those types of window stickers?  Did you know your kid doesn't even have to go to school there to get one of those?  Pat's back window is about to get a makeover!

I liked him/her untll he/she (fill in the blank).  Cody had a date and man did this guy take a wrong turn.  Left offf the company softball team Pat and Tom plot their, ahhh, revenge??   In The Good Stuff an abused puppy left for dead in Sacramento is now healthy, happy, and ready to be adopted.  Will Pat get this dog?

Have you ever not gotten the invite?  Chances are you wouldn't have gone anyway BUT where's the invite?  That happened to Pat, Tom AND Cody.  Ignore it. ask about it, let it cause you anxiety, or meet it head on.  How did we choose to handle it?  Pat and Tom are about to put their plan into action!    A man takes away a kid's baseball,  And can you consider playing rec league softball as your cardio workout?

At work today and need an explanation as to why something might not be up to par?  Pat and Tom have the solution!   Tom is about to come face to face with his high school bully.  How should he handle it?  Do you have somebody pick on you when you were growing up?  Did you run into them later?  We got a LOT of stories about bullies.  And a waitress in Georgia had her butt grabbed by a customer.  She flattened him!  How would you handle this?  A new business is coming to Elk Grove....Pat and Tom have that for  you in what's trending.

Sometimes you need that check your brain at the door tv show.  Bet you have one...or two.  What is it?  Thursday's Good Stuff features 2 police officers who are heroes.  Besides tackling one of the toughtest jobs a person could have, the in the moment generosity these two showed is an example to the rest of us on how to make a difference.  Tom asked Pat to borrow his.....pants.  Really.  There's a reason for it. See if you think it's a good enough reason!

Cody has a few guys interested in her and she needs to give a couple of them the boot.  It's like her own version of The Bachelorette. Since in their past dating lives Pat and Tom have both been dumped they have a couple of ideas for Cody.  At the same time, Pat may well have found the man of Cody's dreams!  In today's Good Stuff a guy who walked 20 miles to work and how he was surprisingly rewarded.  And the conclusion of Tom tries to take our buddy Ron fishing without upsetting yet another friend's wife.

Amazon's Prime Day may have crashed computers but that doesn't mean we didn't get stuff....or at least tried to get stuff!  Were you successful?  Apparently extreme heat affects a lot of different professions including baseball pitchers (do not get in their way).  Brett Eldredge calls what happened over the weekend one of the best moments of his career.  And it turns out Tom can not only make his wife mad, he can make his buddies wives mad too!
