This week we're reading chapter 24 from part 1 to chapter 9 of part 2 of Solitaire by Alice Oseman. This week, we see the after effects of Ben and Charlie's confrontation, as well as a party hosted by none other than Solitaire where things go a bit too far but not before Tori faces a sweet moment with Michael and a betrayal like no other from Becky. We're confused by the headmaster and disappointed by Tori and Charlie's grandparents. Tori is stood up by someone - and rediscovers some of her childhood memories which give her a shocking revelation about Solitaire. At the end of this section, a Solitaire prank goes too far! 

It's Galentine's day, a day to celebrate the best friendships! And what better way to do that than to go through all the books we have read so far and discuss whether or not we would be friends with the main gals. Plus, 2 special awards at the end for best and worst friend. Happy Galentines Day! <3 

This is week 2 discussing Solitaire by Alice Oseman, we're doing chapters 11-23! This week, we get more of Tori getting to know the two new boys in her life. She goes to a costume party dressed as Wednesday Adams and watches one of our fave movies! She gets closer to Michael before dealing with an unfortunate situation with Charlie. This leads to her spending even more time with Michael as well as isolating herself from her friends. She hangs out a bit more with Ben Hope - Becky's new boyfriend and something between him and Charlie rocks Tori to her core. 

This is week 1 talking Solitaire chapters 1-10 by Alice Oseman. This week we meet our main girl, Tori and we see the world through her eyes; as someone who doesn't care about anything! She has a group of friends she doesn't really talk to and a family she doesn't really fit in with. That is until she meets Michael! A fellow weirdo who also has to pretend to be normal. They are both intrigued by a school prankster known only by the name "Solitaire". Our first week delves into Tori and Michael becoming uneasy friends, Tori being locked in a classroom by Solitaire and getting saved by Michael and his mysterious disappearance from the halls afterwards. Plus Tori has some unsettling dreams! 

This is our last week talking all things A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair. This week we're talking chapters 20-the end! In this week's episode we get more into the relationship between Hades and Persephone. They have lots more sex, go on some dates, and even bake cookies together (though we have some issues with the logistics of those cookies!). Demeter finally makes an appearance, strips away Persephone's glamour and makes a decision that changes the way Persephone sees her deal with Hades. We reach the end of the 6 month deadline and conveniently Persephone makes a discovery that will impact how she moves forward, and we finally see her take charge of her own life. 

This is week 3 discussing A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair where we cover chapters 13-19. This week the sauce is exploding with our sexiest chapters to date! Persephone and Hades are still struggling to get along but can't seem to fight their attraction to each other, and even though Hades teases and refuses her because he feels she doesn't respect him, it doesn't really stop him for long. We get some intimate moments in a public bath, in Hades bedroom (twice), and a garden outside! All while Persephone struggles with her feelings for Hades and her conflicting desires to be possessed by him but also free from her bargain! 

In week 2 of discussing Scarlett St. Clair's A Touch of Darkness we talk about chapters 6 to 12. In this week's episode, we see Persephone get closer to Hades with some steamy moments, even though she doesn't like him, and then we see her do some truly stupid things, like trying to swim across the river Styx and trying to gather water from the river Lethe. She writes her article but isn't ready to release it - when Adonis does it for her! She makes a lot of people cranky, including her mother and Hades, which causes her to go clubbing in protest! Also, we go off on a lot of tangents.....we love tangents.

This is week 1 discussing A touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair! This week we tackle chapters 1-5. In this episode we meet our main couple - Persephone and Hades. Persephone is an inexperienced goddess masquerading as a human to get away from her controlling mother Demeter, and Hades is a jaded, club owner, God of the Underworld who likes to make deals. We see Persephone enter her weird internship that we don't understand and enter into a deal with Hades that she doesn't understand, all while trying to write an exposé on Hades' shady deals with humans!
