Support the showThis week, Ally and Jamie sit down with Los Angeles based alt-pop artist Kaya Stewart. Tune in to hear Kaya chat about her album If Things Go South, her award-winning short film, what it was like growing up in the industry and more!
About Kaya:
Born in London but raised in Los Angeles, Kaya Stewart grew up surrounded by music and began writing songs at the age of 6. By her early teens, Stewart had found her place in Los Angeles’ live music scene, sneaking into shows and establishing herself as a performer in her own right.
After releasing her self-titled debut album in 2016, Stewart toured non-stop across the U.S., including performing dates on the Warped Tour where she was the youngest female artist to participate in the iconic touring festival. With the heart of your favorite nineties alt songstress, the guts of a tried-and-true punk, and a whole lot of sass all her own, she formally introduces herself on her sophomore LP, If Things Go South.
This week, Ally and Jamie are joined by Nashville-based singer/songwriter Leah Jean. Tune in for an acoustic version of Leah's song "Black and White" and to hear more about her forthcoming album Creatures In The Room, how she balances various passions and more!
About Leah Jean:
Indie-Folk artist Leah Jean uses jazz-infused guitar riffs mixed with lo-fi and experimental elements to create dreamy and complex backdrops for her poignant and relatable stories. Inspired by musicians and artists such as Kimbra, Kacey Musgraves, and Phoebe Bridgers, Jean writes songs that are tinged with melancholy, rooted in nostalgia, and possess a keen sense of brave vulnerability.
This week, Ally and Jamie sit down with Nashville-based singer, songwriter and producer carobae to chat about her just released album scared to go to sleep, her time on Charlotte Sands tour, her thoughts on mental health as a woman in the music industry and more! About Liam Coleman:
Liam Coleman has been laser-focused on his dreams as a national country music touring and recording artist for as long as he can remember … so much so, he packed up his few belongings and headed to Nashville from his native Charlton, Massachusetts before finishing high school.
His dynamic, no-fear stage presence, deep baritone voice and insightful songwriting well beyond his years excited both his fans and the music world, and his talents have already brought him to nominations from the Worcester Music Awards for “Best Up & Comer” and a Central MA “Best of” award for “Best Musical Group.” He landed on the Pulse Magazine People to Watch 2021 list and most recently took home the grand prize in the New England Songwriting Competition. Liam signed with Marathon Talent for management in September of 2020 and has released several well-received singles.
