  • Ep.71 - Janis

  • Ep.70 - Blake

Blake Cohen began his career in the field of substance abuse treatment in his home state of Florida. Fueled by passion and gratitude for having overcome his own battles with addiction, he completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Florida Atlantic University and earned a state certification as an Addictions Professional to better assist those struggling with substance use disorders.

Blake wrote I Love You, More to offer perspective to family members – including the addict and their loved ones. Combining his personal and work experiences, along with many emotional interviews, he uses short, fictional stories to detail what a family unit endures when one of its members struggles with addiction.

His two-fold goal is to combat the stigma surrounding the disease of addiction and educate those who are in the dark about it. Blake is currently the National Outreach Manager for Recovery Unplugged, a South Florida-based Substance Abuse and Mental health Treatment Center. Blake currently lives with his wife, Chrissy, in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

  • Ep.69 - Eve

  • Ep.67 - Britt

In her own words, I present you Britt: I ran the streets as a teenager. I drank and drugged myself into life-threatening situation after situation, ran away twice, lived with an infamous biker gang, and finally found spirituality and pulled myself out. I am now the owner of a 6 figure business supporting other women, and the founder of a non-profit dog rescue that is taking the rescue world by storm.

  • Ep.66 - Jeff

We all have to face certain battles in life and for Christian comedian, Jeff Allen drugs as well as alcohol was his worst enemy. Allen made a career out making others laugh while he was going through so much pain. Allen started his comedy career when he was 22. He has appeared on Showtime, Comedy Central, VH1, and more. Weekly drinking turned to binge drinking, and he often found himself getting drunk for a week and then staying sober for a week. Through his teens and 20s, he got trapped in a cycle of black-out binge drinking, snorting cocaine and raging against people. He has quit drinking and using drugs in 1987 after he found himself spanking his baby boy because he was crying.

It was a open-hearted, full of humor and great man that I discussed with and enjoyed every minutes of our talk.

  • Ep.65 - Marie-Claude
