Relationship to Money
When to Teach Kids about Money
Most Important Money Tools
Why Budgeting is like Crotch Banging
Consolidation and the Myth
We have a few minutes and lighten the nerves (Meghan’s that is) by discussing our hair and freshness. Erin notices a piece of art on Tasha’s wall and asks her to read it out. A beautiful message. “Today is the day!”
We get straight to the meat and potatoes as Erin shares her WHY. We learn that she, herself, has been at rock bottom of debt and didn’t have the information readily at hand to work through it, without getting into more debt.
Erin’s new book, titled, Get the Hell Out of Debt: The Proven 3-Phase Method that will Radically Shift your Relationship to Money was just launched and is available for pre-order now.
As the title alludes to a relationship to money, we learn more of what that means. We discuss money scripts, as we learn what Kristine’s are and how we can transform it through affirmations and mantras.
As Meghan recently has had some interesting money talks with her kids, it was important to open up the dialogue surrounding that. Most of our money scripts go back generations, we learn that “as soon as they don’t eat money” is a great time to start teaching. Erin also has a course called How to Teach your Kids About Money.
We discuss two of the MOST important money tools: Budget and Net-Worth. We learn that they go hand-in-hand towards the goal of getting out of debt and moving into wealth building.
There is a fun story about how Erin relates getting out of debt to banging your crotch when learning how to ride a bike.
Debt (money) is a tough topic to bring up at playdates or Mom groups. It is not something that is often talked about and considered taboo. Unfortunately, this can promote a feeling of shame and is often avoided when you are at a point that you want to talk about it.
Erin shares that you can pre-order her book now and get the online self-paced course for free. Follow the links below to find out more.
