Today, we examine the narrative of Naaman and Elisha. We especially focus on Elisha's servant Gehazi and his willingness to try to deceive not only Naaman but also his master Elisha. We then compare Gehazi's actions to the words that Jesus spoke in the beatitudes about serving two masters.

Today, we begin a new theme of messages which are a part of our Summer Series of messages.  In the month of July we will be looking at something that is identified in the Old Testament that seems to be unrelated to anything at the time--only to discover that in the New Testament it has a rich and deep spiritual meaning. 

This message is the last in this series and the possible use of A. I. in the end of days. The Bible speaks of two men in the end of days that will deceive the world and master it.

As man begins to dream about the future possibilities of the day that man and machine could merge, creating the god/man; Jesus  predicted the future of mankind and his role in it. 

Today, we consider where our Human Moral Sense originated and how many times we exercise this moral sense to come to the place where we recognize our need for a Savior. How then could any of this philosophical, moralistic and non-tangible ideas ever be put into a super intelligent machine or robot? The overall theme of this message is how God devised a plan to rescue and restore not only us but also His creation.

In this message we examine specifically the biblical narrative as God as the creator of man. We take several ideas from John Lennox and explain how we can never accurately define humankind as long as we divorce man from God. Our identity is complete only through our acknowledging our true origin.

Introduction to our new Summer series, "Artificial Intelligence"  Inspired by John Lennox's book, "2084" where we lay out an overall premise of how A. I. could affect the future and the how that could possibly impacts Christianity.

When examining the multitude of promises found in the Bible, it is difficult to understand which one you can pray and lean on.  With the help of Herbert Lockyer we discuss specifically Jeremiah 29:11, which many people like to lean upon. This verse has been misused and misapplied in many ways. However, should we eliminate it from the word of God? Can we not learn anything from Jeremiah 29:11 about the heart of God?. 

Today, we look at the assertions made by Bart Ehrman and his book, "How Jesus became God" We consider a response by  Simon J. Gathercole along with other scriptural references that seem to counter Ehrman's assertions.  Then we look at one reference from Matthew 26 that seems to refute Ehrman as well. A simple and well known reference to a woman who would be remembered for all time.

Today, we look at a woman who desired to be a mother and in a moment of utter anguish she prayed to the Lord and promised to give her child back to God. She reckoned that having a child only to give it back to the Lord was better than no child at all. Interesting enough, the very same thing is true about this life.
