Today, we see Jesus interact with those who believed him. He tells them to remain in HIS teaching and that they will be truly HIS disciples. He also points out that by remaining in HIS disciples that they will discover truth and will be set free. They make a series of three claims of their relationship with God. Jesus moves them from each claim until they come to the most intimate relationship claim. It's here that he begins to prove their need to be set free from sin.

Today, we examine John 8:21-30, Jesus attempting to convince the Religious Leaders and men and women who are listening the importance of believing in him. Jesus identifies four important reasons to believe that HE is the Christ.  

Today, after declaring that He was the 'Light of the World,' Jesus replies to His critics. We examine a complaint of the religious leaders and critics of Jesus then and now in our modern day. How did the Lord resolve their questions of His credibility and as Christ Followers why is this important? 

What does it take to be the Christ? Today, we examine the four pillars that the Christ upholds.

Like King Solomon, Jesus is confronted with a dilemma that would require great wisdom. The Religious leaders brought a woman caught in the act of adultery. The Religious leaders thought they had a clever trap devised for this usurper. What they did not understand at that moment was standing before them was one greater than Solomon. Today, we examine how Jesus intercedes for the sinner and offers hope to those who long for rescue from the poor choices they have made.

Today, we examine the element of eternity as it pertains to the Christmas story. We have already examined Jesus’ incarnation, the virgin birth, but today we examine what C. S. Lewis described as Christ’s descension from throne to womb, to go down only to come up again. What does this descending teach us as modern people? During this time of celebration of our Lord’s birth what can we learn from the Lord’s example?  

Today, we examine the Virgin Birth, along with incarnation. Not only are they both theologically important, they are both interwoven with each other. The incarnation and the virgin birth say much about the human condition and the greatness of God's redemptive plan.. 

C. S. Lewis had a favorite analogy of how God wrote himself into his own story. Today, we examine how the Lord was involved in Creation and the implications for humankind involved in that process. 

As we close out chapter 7, we notice in today’s text the frustration level of the religious leaders which now has become obvious by their behavior. While the religious leaders hindered community by their actions, it is Jesus who came to restore community. 

Today, we see the last and greatest day of the festival of Tabernacles, where Jesus makes a Messianic Proclamation. We notice how during the week of festivities the opinions of the crowds have moved from Jesus being a good man to people considering him as Messiah. It’s against this backdrop that we see God bridge the gap of these worshippers to help them see Jesus in a way they may not had considered before.
