Ohio State Football's starting quarterback Kyle McCord entered the transfer portal today, along with wide receiver Julian Fleming and running back Evan Pryor. There are 10 or more Ohio State Buckeye players in the portal right now. I would not be surprised if McCord transferred to a lower-level Power 5 school and had a great season at Nebraska, Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma State, or another school needing a quarterback. Julian Fleming, in my opinion, will transfer back to his home state of Pennsylvania to play for the Penn State Nittany Lions. As for Ohio State's preparation for the Cotton Bowl, I expect Devin Brown or Lincoln Kienholz to play with fire in their first real test. Michigan State Football has hired Jonathan Smith as their next head coach. The Spartans have had an abysmal 2023 season, and they needed to make the right hire to have a good program moving forward. The Michigan Wolverines beat the Ohio State Buckeyes in an all-time classic yesterday. Michigan 30 Ohio State 24 was the final score, and The Game was closer than the score indicates. Michigan's Blake Corum set Michigan's rushing touchdowns in a single season record, as he added 2 touchdowns on his season total of 20 against Ohio State, along with 88 rushing yards. Both defenses battled in the trenches but Michigan's got Ohio State off the field quickly, while Jim Knowles' bend-but-don't-break scheme allowed Michigan to enter the red zone and chew up the clock.
