The No.1 overall recruit in the 2024 recruiting class visited the Georgia Bulldogs this past weekend. Dylan Raiola is currently a junior in high school in Pinnacle, Arizona. He is 6'3", 220 pounds, and he is listed as a 98 overall according to 247Sports. The young talent's suitors are Georgia, Nebraska, USC, Oregon, and Alabama, with Ohio State now out of the picture. I think Raiola will end up at USC or Nebraska. I have this opinion primarily because of USC's NIL and Lincoln Riley's reputation for developing Quarterbacks. Also, Nebraska has a great NIL collective, and Raiola is a legacy recruit for the Huskers. That being said, if Georgia can land him, the Dawgs could have the deepest Quarterback room in the country come the 2024 season.

Wisconsin Football has a challenging 2023 schedule, but with Luke Fickell as Head Coach and a roster that is full of talent, I firmly believe the Badgers can contend for the conference this coming year. With Runningbacks Braelon Allen and Chez Mellusi returning, along with a deep Wide Receiver and Offensive Line Group paired with presumed starting Quarterback Tanner Mordecai, Wisconsin has the potential to be explosive on offense. New Offensive Coordinator Phil Longo is bringing the Air Raid from North Carolina, and new Defensive Coordinator Mike Tressel is bringing a defense that should be among one of the Big Ten's better units. Luke Fickell and his Badger squad can get a solid 9/10/11 win regular season if they play to their strengths and are efficient. Home matchups against the Ohio State Buckeyes and Iowa Hawkeyes will be challenging, but no game is a guaranteed win or loss. Potentially, they could be in the CFP conversation much like TCU was in the 2022 season.

Ryan Day and Jim Harbaugh will command the nation's best 2 College Football teams in 2023. Michigan is coming off 2 consecutive Big Ten Championships and College Football Playoff appearances, while Ohio State is coming off 2 consecutive 11-win seasons and Top 5 finishes. Both of these teams develop and recruit at a high level, and they also have deep, mutual respect and hatred for each other. I believe Michigan Football will win the National Championship for the first time since 1997 and they will capture a perfect 15-0 record, beating the Buckeyes twice. Ohio State will go 12-2, losing to the Wolverines in Ann Arbor and on College Football's biggest stage, but winning their semifinal and dominating every other game. This is just my personal prediction, and Ohio State very well could also go 15-0 and win it all, as I have Michigan at No.1 and Ohio State at No.2, and the margin separating them is slim. Whatever the case is, I am 100% sure the 2023 edition of The Game will be one for the ages, and it will fit The Game of The Century requirements as both teams will be 11-0 and ranked in the Top 2.

I mentioned in my Top 25 video (link here: https://youtu.be/fyhII2a0dPE) that I believe Runningback, Offensive Line, and Tight End talent will be underrated factors for deciding the haves and have-nots of the 2023 season. In fact, I think that whoever wins the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship Game will have an elite Runningback room and an elite rushing attack overall. That is my opinion, whether that is Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Alabama, or some team that is undeservingly not on my radar. Today, I want to specifically talk about who I think has the Top 3 Runningback rooms in College Football. In that order, those teams are Penn State (3rd), Ohio State (2nd), and Michigan (1st). These Runningback rooms have both players who can pick up the imp[possible yards, and also explode when they find space and holes in the defense. I think the Wolverines have the best Runningback room by a sizeable margin, but Ohio State certainly edges them out for depth and Penn State's young Runningbacks have just begun to tap into their potential.

There are multiple reasons why there should be optimism surrounding the Husker program entering 2023. Matt Rhule is only in year 1, but with a Top 25 transfer portal class that is bringing in a veteran Quarterback in Jeff Sims, a high-ceiling Tight End in Arik Gilbert, and several other players at Offensive Line and Defensive Line, Nebraska's depth could be solidified in the weeks following spring practice. Nebraska also returns Quarterback Casey Thompson, Runningback Anthony Grant, and WR Marcus Washington, all three are great skill position players. With the returning production and portal additions, Marcus Satterfield could coordinate one of the Big Ten's best offenses. That, paired with a doable schedule, could allow Rhule to make an appearance in the Big Ten Championship Game in year 1.

The Wolverines are destined for success this coming 2023 season after a disappointing finish to last year's campaign. I think that Michigan could run one of the best offenses and defenses in the country, and I even think that Jim Harbaugh will capture his first National Championship. However, in order for Michigan to consistently reach the level of success they have had in 2021 and 2022, and what I think they will reach in 2023, they have to recruit Top 10 and Top 5 classes consistently. Luckily, both the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes reside inside of the Top 5, and Michigan could add a 5-star this weekend if visiting Quarterback Jadyn Davis commits. Davis is one of the nation's best Quarterbacks in the 2024 class and he currently has 5 crystal balls to Michigan. Other highly renowned prospects are visiting Michigan, and hopefully (as a Wolverine) Jim Harbaugh and his staff can land as many as possible.

Winter is nearly over, and along with the rest of the Big Ten Conference, the Ohio State Buckeyes have started spring practice. Several players, both young and familiar faces, will be competing for a starting spot on the nation's 3rd most talented roster. Several players from the 2022 Ohio State Football Team return, most notably Wide Receivers Marvin Harrison Jr, Emeka Egbuka, and Julian Fleming, Tight End Cade Stover, Offensive Guards Donovan Jackson and Matthew Jones, Runningbacks Miyan Williams, and TreVeyon Henderson, Defensive Ends JT Tuimoloau and Jack Sawyer, Defensive Tackles Tyleik Williams and Mike Hall Jr, Linebackers Tommy Eichenberg and Steele Chambers, Cornerback Denzel Burke, and finally Safety Lathan Ransom. Ryan Day also added some key players via the transfer portal. With a hefty amount of returning production, it is hard to imagine the Buckeyes regressing from 2022. In fact, I think they will improve. How spring storylines turn out will in part determine my belief, specifically who starts at Quarterback between Kyle McCord and Devin Brown, and how much can the secondary improve with Cornerback Davison Igbinosun and Safety Ja'Had Carter arriving.

Lincoln Riley went 11-3 last year, about the best you can do in year one of a College Football program. This season, the expectations are higher, and Riley is confident that his Trojans can play superior football in the 2023 season. With Quarterback Caleb Williams returning from his Heisman campaign, along with Wide Receiver Mario Williams and Runningback Austin Jones, USC is poised for another successful year on offense. The concerns, of course, are on the defensive side of the ball, where Alex Grinch's schemes are suspect and the Trojans lose All-American Defensive End Tuli Tuipulotu. I think USC will have a similar season compared to last year, but overall Riley has this program heading in a great direction.

Mel Tucker and Michigan State will host some of the best teams in the country this coming season, and they get a game right out of the gate against Washington on September 16th. There are four other teams that I think will be ranked inside of the Top 25 outside of the Washington Huskies (Who I have ranked No.4). Those teams are Iowa (No.18), Penn State (No.5), Ohio State (No.2), and Michigan (No.1). The Spartans are ranked No.6 in the Big Ten in returning production and No.45 nationally, with QB Payton Thorne, WR Keon Coleman, TE Maliq Carr, and RB Jalen Berger making a returning with an offense that ranks No.11 nationally in returning production. Mel Tucker has many questions to answer, and his schedule will not be kind to him. However, I believe he will have his players ready to compete.

With Bryce Young off to the NFL, Alabama has to find its next Quarterback. Former 5-star Ty Simpson and former 4-star Jalen Milroe will be the faces of competition in Spring Practice. Not only do I believe Jalen Milroe will win the starting quarterback job at the Crimson Tide, but he will be one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the nation. Milroe will be the SEC's best quarterback and I think he will play similarly to former Louisville Quarterback Lamar Jackson and former Alabama/Oklahoma Quarterback Jalen Hurts. His limited playing time in 2022 flashed his athleticism, and with a whole preseason of work, I think his passing and rushing threats will only grow and mature.
