The Buckeyes are 9-0 (6-0) and are currently ranked No.2 in the country. However, they still have some things to work on before their November 26th matchup with No.3 9-0 (6-0) Michigan. One of these things is Ohio State's physicality, along with their run offense. RBs Treveyon Henderson and Miyan Williams have struggled to establish a ground game in the Buckeye's past three matchups, and while that will likely end in the Indiana game, there is some rightful concern entering the Michigan game. The weather against Northwestern also exposed an offense that is sensitive to weather conditions that are common in November. Were those performances flukes, or does Ohio State have an achilles heel?

Michigan and Nebraska will meet up to take care of business this Saturday. These are two blue-blood programs with proud histories and with two former QBs serving as the HCs of their respective programs (well in Scott Frost's case, formerly). Michigan is ranked No.3 in the CFP Rankings and is 9-0 (6-0) while Nebraska is 3-6 (2-4) and is on track to another season without a bowl appearance. WRs coach Mickey Joseph is currently serving as Nebraska's interim HC, and his Husker squad is strong at Receiver with Trey Palmer being one of the best WRs in the nation. Michigan RB Blake Corum looks to use his skills, elite supporting cast, and Nebraska's atrocious defense to cement a potential trip to New York. This will not be a close game like last season, but rather a blowout in favor of the Wolverines, as their run defense will bear down on the Nebraska blackshirts.

Jim Harbaugh and his staff make the best second-half adjustments in the country. Michigan outscored Rutgers 38-0 in the 3rd and 4th quarters after trailing 14-17 at halftime. RBs Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards each had 109 rushing yards, with Corum having 2 rushing TDs and Edwards having 52 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. Michigan's second-half performance is impressive, to say the least, and I think it will move and shake any team in the country. The question moving forward is can Michigan keep great teams like Ohio State and Georgia at bay in the first half? For Rutgers, they put up an admirable effort, but much needs to be worked on before they will consistently win in Big Ten play. Greg Schiano should be given more time.

Ohio State's third road game of the season is.... *drum roll*.... Northwestern. That's right, a 1-7 (1-4) team whose only win this season came in Dublin Ireland against the Scott Frost-led Huskers. Pat Fitzgerald has not had a win on American soil since over a year ago, and that streak is continuing this weekend. The Wildcats have several issues, but perhaps the biggest adversity they face is coming from their coordinators, who lead an offense that is outside the Top 100 and a defense that is struggling to stay afloat. The Buckeyes will come in here and take care of business, and probably play their backups for half of the game.

Michigan and Ohio State seem to be guaranteed to face up as undefeated teams. However, nothing is guaranteed, as Michigan takes on Rutgers this Saturday and Ohio State travels to face Northwestern. Rutgers Football just won their first Big Ten home game in years against Indiana, before losing in a 0-31 shutout to Minnesota last game. Michigan is coming off an emotional 29-7 win over their in-state rival the Michigan State Spartans. Both teams are physical and prefer their ground games over their passing games, but the Wolverines have a sheer talent advantage and no one expects a loss here. Michigan should actively pursue its weaknesses here, and train itself at throwing the football.

No.1 vs No.2, The Game of The Century. The last of these took place in 2019 when No.1 LSU visited No.2 Alabama and took down the Tide at home. Like that matchup, the road team had the better offense and special teams, but were underdogs and had more questions on the defensive side of the ball. The home team had a head coach who was coming off a national title appearance and had won it all before. In 2019 the visiting team took down the giant in his own house, and this Saturday we will see if that repeats itself, or if Kirby Smart continues his win streak against elite competition in his quest to repeat as National Champions. Tennessee's No.1 scoring offense will match up against Georgia's No.2 scoring defense.

The typical battle between these two was more one-sided than the score would indicate. Ohio State was faced with adversity for 3 and 1/2 quarters against the Nittany Lions, before going on a 28-3 scoring drive after trailing 16-21. QB CJ Stroud had a near-perfect QBR of 93.6, going 26/33 for 354 yards and 1 touchdown. DE JT Tuimoloau was the ultimate star of this Ohio State squad, as he had 2 interceptions, one of which was returned for 6, 2 sacks, 3 tackles for loss, 6 total tackles, and 1 pass defended. Penn State outgained Ohio State in yardage 482 to 452, but they had 4 turnovers and failed a big 4th down.

Michigan failed to cover the spread, but they still won by 22 points over their in-state rivals. Michigan State started off fast, taking a 7-3 lead at the end of the 1st quarter, but it wasn't enough to beat the more consistent Wolverine squad. RB Blake Corum had both of Michigan's touchdowns, along with 177 rushing yards. K Jake Moody went 5/5 on field goals, with a long of 54. This rivalry is traditionally one that is physical and full of hate, and yesterday's game lived up to those normalities.
