  • Episode #13: Keith Morris (Black Flag, Circle Jerks, OFF!)
Just wrapped a three hour + interview for our podcast ‘Come To Where I’m From’ with this original genius of hardcore punk rock. Original singer for Black Flag, The Circle Jerks and Off! Keith Morris!! Just an unreal discussion about everything under the sun. Chemtrails, moon landing, heartbreak, the history of hardcore. A kaleidoscopic journey through an original and poetic mind. A thriving creative with 20 plus screenplays in the works and 25 new songs surely to storm into the culture as Keith’s work always does. It was an honor and a privilege. And hopefully you will agree when this episode drops 7/16 #keithmorris #josepharthur #off! #thecirclejerks #blackflag #podcasts

  • Episode #12: Mark Lanegan
Just had the most epic conversation with Mark Lanegan for ‘Come To Where I’m From’ honestly I can’t begin to break it down. Except to say it was beyond what I could have expected. Loved Mark for a long time. Respect him deeply and all of that has just blossomed beyond measure. Feel blessed as fuck to be honest. Absolutely buzzing from it. We talked for well over two hours and laughed for a fair bit of that as we walked through some dark neighborhoods. I can’t wait for you hear it. Dropping 7/11 #podcast #cometowhereimfrom #josepharthur #marklanegan

  • Episode #11: Grandma (Liam Hall)
    Grandma aka Liam Hall @atlgrandma
    Came on the podcast yesterday!
Absolutely one of the best new artist I’ve heard in a long time. (Full disclosure I’ve been collaborating with him a bunch for a year or more so you could say I’m biased) but go check out his new and first single (which I had nothin to do with) released on Atlantic called ‘Shallow Water’ and you tell me... he’s a great producer as well as singer/songwriter. Producing his brilliant and modern tracks designed to make you move in the celebratory way all the best music does. We talked about how growing up in the south, having a rock n roll legendary father (James Hall) ,and how being surrounded by music is feeding into his deep grasp of his own ,already evolved, artistry. And as he said on the podcast “this is the greatest time for music.” I tend to agree. But it’s cause of artists like him that I feel that way and Grandma is one of a kind! Check it out!! Episode 11 dropping 7/9 and go support his first single! It’s a banger! #podcast #cometowhereimfrom #grandma #liamhall #josepharthur

Had a great conversation today with Tracy Bonham on the podcast! We talked about getting over people pleasing and the infinite journey that is coming everyday deeper into our authentic selves. Both fanned out over Abraham Hicks and discussed things about what’s in our vortex, music in the 90’s,music now and our mutual love and respect for Tchad Blake who we both been honored to work with. I believe she will be Episode 10! and is dropping 7/5 ! Thanks again Tracy for coming through! And check it out!! #podcasts #cometowhereimfrom #josepharthur #tracybonham #nyc

  • Episode #09: Gary Lucas
Holy smokes was this an amazing podcast today with Gary Lucas !! We went through his entire history with the amazing Captain Beefheart and how he co-wrote the signature songs on Jeff Buckley’s masterful debut ‘Grace.’ Also his time with Jeff and early NYC days. It went on for 2 and a half hours (the longest ‘Come To Where I’m From’ so far) and honestly we just skimmed the surface of what this man has done in his life. We recorded an incredible instrumental /dobro version of Grace and Mojo Pin (combined) which I filmed on my Instagram live. You can still check that out via my stories. It’s stunning!! Check it out!! And support the pod over at patreon.com/cometowhereimfrom many more exciting episodes to come. Thanks Gary for making it happen and I look forward to writing with you soon my brother!!
