Chris and Graham welcome back nerd writer Mike Schmidt for a special two-part episode!  Part A is a regular episode with a general review of The Dark Knight Rises (Part B is a spoiler alert episode of Dark Knight Rises) where all three loved the film.  Mike and Chris had some minor complaints and Graham thought it was perfect.  Chris finally watches Spider-man and thought it was useless and was mad at Graham for being to easy on Erik Griffin.  Graham liked To Rome With Love, not as much as Midnight in Paris, but still good.  Only two new DVD's and then the film event of the summer STEP UP REVOLUTION!!!

Chris and Graham go down to the San Diego Comic Con and interview Kung Fu film expert, Ric Meyers.  Ric talks about his panel, the Superhero Kung Fu Extravaganza, that has been at Comic Con for 15 years.  Then there is a healthy discussion about the Dark Knight films and the use of martial arts in them.  Also discussed are movie studio conspiracies and obscure martial arts films.  It is a nerd explosion that will sweep your leg!

Graham and Chris welcome Erik Griffin into the Nerd HQ.  Erik talks about his character, Montez Walker, from the show Workaholics on Comedy Central.  Erik and Graham spilt a little on Spider-Man.  Chris was just so-so on Savages.  Graham and Erik both liked Ted.  Chris' was glad to see Brave was better than Cars 2 but not as good as Up.  Graham gives a good recommendation to Safety Not Guaranteed.  A good DVD pick is out and a great weekend to stay home and rest up for Dark Knight Rises.  It will make you want to see Janet Jackson's nipple!

It's a new special themed episode called "DVD Closet!" Jackie brings a bunch of DVD's into the nerd HQ and they admit they are gay...wait no that's not what happens.  Chris, Graham and Jackie talk about her collection of films.  Some classics and gulity pleasures are discussed.  Maybe this will be a regular event? (Cliffhanger ending)

Chrisam (short for Chris and Graham) are glad to have Neil T. Weakley back in the Nerd HQ for a sound discussion of Cult films.  Neil goes into what makes a cult films.  Then all three lads are off to the races about how some cult films start out with bad box office then get some kind of loyal following that builds.  Also there are the really horrible movies that gain cult stauts because they are great fun to get drunk and yell at.  All this is covered in this week's themed episode.

It's a Never Not Funny episode of CFN with Jimmy Pardo.  Chris and Graham welcome back the podcaster who was impressed with Tom Cruise but not at all with Rock of Ages.  Chirs and Jimmy talk musicals.  Graham felt that Your Sister's Sister is what a rom-com should be.  Jimmy reveals that his favoirte film is Breaking Away and why you should watch all the disaster films of the 70's before you watch Airplane.  Some Ok DVD choices and an interesting weeeknd of new releases is on tap.  This show is Pard-a-riffic!

Chris and Graham welcome The Longshot Podcast co-host Sean Conroy into the Nerd HQ.  Sean talks about doing a podcast with Eddie Pepitone and how he made fun of Graham when they first met.  Then all three share their thoughts of disappointment about Prometheus, with Chris a little more in favor of the film.  Sean was just so-so about Lola Versus but loves going to the Hollwood Bowl for a Sound of Music sing-a-long. All three lads tell stories of their first ever films they made as kids.  One out of three new DVDs are worth watching and a bag of shit is opeing this weekend.  Live long and prosper, Nerds!

Chris and Graham welcome comic and author Sean Cullen into the nerd HQ.  Sean talks about why he liked certain aspects of Snow White and the Huntsman, but was confused about some of the hunting techniques.  Chris liked the French film, The Intouchables.  Graham enjoyed Moonrise Kingdom and all three lads had a good discussion about Wes Anderson and Blade Runner.  Sean gave us some insight about working on The Love Guru.  Also discussed were the Joys and Pleasures of Santa Monica.  A action packed list of new DVD's and it's Ridley Scott's new film Prometheus this weekend! Fun is had by all.

Chris and Graham welcome back Geekscape host Jonathan London into the nerd HQ.  Jonathan and Graham liked MIB3, even though it has some problems.  Jonathan talks about how different trailers are cut in other countries.  Chris liked the acting in Take This Waltz.  Jonathan tells us about his experience with People vs. George Lucas and a new documentary he is working on.  Goon is the best of the new DVDs.  And a weekend of ridiculous nonsense will have you staying home to rest up for Prometheus!

Chris and Graham welcome the other half of Hard and Phirm, Mike Phirman,  into the Nerd HQ.  Mike talks about being the producer for Palm Strike Dance Party and doing visual effects for such classics as Firestarter 2.  Chris was questioning his sanity after Battleship.  Mike and Graham both laughed out loud during The Dictator.  Graham watched just enough of What to Expect When You're Expecting to know that his eyes hurt from the stupidity.  Mike also goes into being an extra for a Shaq film.  DVD's and an interesting weekend is coming our way.  It's a nerd sound explosion.
