We also take some seriously weird detours into spam calls, restaurant tipping, questionable swimming holes, lawn envy, keeping your dogs' butts clean, trying to live forever, and a true-crime discussion that gets surprisingly dark. 💀😂

And because this is Comedyville, somehow a conversation about the end of summer turns into poop, prescription drugs, snoring husbands, and whether anyone can actually escape their own mortality.

This week on **Comedyville Horror Podcast**, we’re doing something a little different: we’re putting two horror shows head-to-head after watching their first episodes — **IT: Welcome to Derry** vs. **Ash vs. Evil Dead**!

First up, we dive into **Welcome to Derry**, the creepy prequel to the IT movies. We talk about the new Pennywise, the differences from Tim Curry’s version, the bizarre demon baby, the kids investigating Maddie’s disappearance, the disturbing racism throughout the episode, and that absolutely insane theater scene that ends with a LOT of dead kids. We also somehow spend a shocking amount of time talking about old-school movie projectors, newspaper archives, college textbooks, and how apparently nobody knew how to use the internet back then.

Then we jump into **Ash vs. Evil Dead**, where Bruce Campbell brings back everyone’s favorite chainsaw-wielding idiot. We talk about Ash’s ridiculous lifestyle, his encounter with a Deadite at the bar, the Necronomicon, the creepy cops, the tiny demon doll, Pablo and Kelly joining the chaos, and that gloriously gory chainsaw finale.

So which show wins the battle?

**Welcome to Derry** brings the creepy atmosphere, mystery, trauma, and some seriously WTF moments.

**Ash vs. Evil Dead** brings gore, ridiculousness, one-liners, chainsaws, and exactly the kind of horror-comedy we love.

We give our first-episode ratings, debate which show we’d keep watching, and decide what horror shows we should battle next.

And yes… we also complain about streaming-service commercials, because apparently paying for a subscription isn't enough anymore.

What are we doing?! Seriously… WHAT ARE WE DOING?! 

In this episode of the Comedyville Horror Podcast, we go completely off the rails and somehow manage to talk about EVERYTHING—from going bald and ridiculous wigs to terrible first jobs, awkward coffee-shop encounters, getting attacked by hornets, and why nobody can ever just say goodbye.

And, naturally, there are plenty of completely unnecessary conversations about dogs, anal glands, farting, and other things that probably shouldn't be discussed on a podcast.

It's basically two people sitting down to have a normal conversation… and immediately proving that they are incapable of having a normal conversation.
