Comic Book Rundown

Welcome to the first episode of Getting Franchised, where Chuck and Joe take a look at the first movie of a series and its reboot. For this first season, we are tackling horror movies and we start out with Hellraiser.

It's 1994, and someone thought that it would be a good idea to take this old pulp hero and make a movie about him. We watched The Shadow, and this movie should have stayed in the shadows. We finished out the Robocop trilogy with Robocop 3 from 1993. There were some enjoyable moments in here, but still not the better movie of the trilogy. So for this episode, we watched a Doctor Strange ripoff called Doctor Mordrid. After watching it, I think there was a reason this didn't get a sequel.Twitter: @comicrundownInstagram: @comicbookrundownThreads: @comicbookrundownEmail: [email protected] by Joe Janero, Ron Hanes and Charlie Shaw Edited by Joe JaneroTheme song provided by the other member of the Sex Turtles (Cam Malidor)Find our t-shirts at Redbubble and TeePublic https://www.redbubble.com/shop/comic+book+rundown?ref=search_boxhttp://tee.pub/lic/vBbIJZ4eLQ0

It's our final Star Wars film and our final film of the year. The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special is a good time to be had by all. Well. We made it. Twelve Star Wars movies. And boy do we end with a banger. That's right. We watched Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker for this episode. I think I might take a break from Star Wars stuff for a while. The boys were on the verge of stabbing me for this one. We watched The Star Wars Holiday Special from 1978. Ripley is back for another go at some Xenomorphs. This time she crashes on a prison planet and has to survive not only alien attacks, but misogyny as well.Twitter: @comicrundownInstagram: @comicbookrundownThreads: @comicbookrundownEmail: [email protected] by Joe Janero, Ron Hanes and Charlie Shaw Edited by Joe JaneroTheme song provided by the other member of the Sex Turtles (Cam Malidor)Find our t-shirts at Redbubble and TeePublic https://www.redbubble.com/shop/comic+book+rundown?ref=search_boxhttp://tee.pub/lic/vBbIJZ4eLQ0
