Comic Book Rundown

Take a plot for a superhero movie, throw in a sexy looking female, and give it a Showtime budget, and you've got yourself the makings of a... well, a movie anyway. We watched Black Scorpion from 1995.Twitter: @comicrundownInstagram: @comicbookrundownThreads: @comicbookrundownEmail: [email protected] by Joe Janero, Ron Hanes and Charlie Shaw Edited by Joe JaneroTheme song provided by Cam Malidor Find our t-shirts at Redbubble and TeePublic https://www.redbubble.com/shop/comic+book+rundown?ref=search_boxhttp://tee.pub/lic/vBbIJZ4eLQ0

On this episode of Getting Franchised, Chuck and Joe watched Candyman from 1992 and 2021. We were kind of fooled into thinking this was a reboot when in reality, it was a sequel, and a darn good one at that.

You know what's great about 90's movies? You can bring back someone who was majorly dead in the previous movie and not explain it at all. That's what happened in Darkman II: The Return of Durant.Twitter: @comicrundownInstagram: @comicbookrundownThreads: @comicbookrundownEmail: [email protected] by Joe Janero, Ron Hanes and Charlie Shaw Edited by Joe JaneroTheme song provided by Cam Malidor Find our t-shirts at Redbubble and TeePublic https://www.redbubble.com/shop/comic+book+rundown?ref=search_boxhttp://tee.pub/lic/vBbIJZ4eLQ0

Star Trek year continues on as we watched Star Trek III: The Search for Spock from 1984. Did we enjoy this one more than the last two? Will Chuck kill me before we get to the Abrams Era?Twitter: @comicrundownInstagram: @comicbookrundownThreads: @comicbookrundownEmail: [email protected] by Joe Janero, Ron Hanes, Charlie Shaw and Chris BalgaEdited by Joe JaneroTheme song provided by the other member of the Sex Turtles (Cam Malidor)Find our t-shirts at Redbubble and TeePublic https://www.redbubble.com/shop/comic+book+rundown?ref=search_boxhttp://tee.pub/lic/vBbIJZ4eLQ0
