In light of recent current events such as the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor and the nationwide protests that occurred in response, the Comic Dwarves chose to shelf their scheduled conversations and opted instead to read and discuss the three-volume March by John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, and Nate Powell. March is an autobiographic recounting of the civil rights movement from the perspective of John Lewis, beginning with the formation of the Student Nonviolent Coordination Committee and their organized sit-in movement up to the Selma-to-Montgomery March for voting rights. Join the Comic Dwarves this week in examining and discussing this important work, the impact of the book's events on the current social atmosphere, and what steps we as a community still need to take.
