This week your favorite Podcasting Duo catch their breath after last week's live 200th podcast super-show and catch up on some comics.  When the dust settled on the microphones their three favorites rose to the top of the stack.  Legendary Star Lord #6 is the funniest, bestest, worst date in the galaxy as Peter and Kitty try to make the long distance work and for Anthony and Elizabeth to cringe at how badly the Star Lord bungles thing up.  Another rare appearance for the podcast, a DC title sneaks into the spotlight with Detective Comics #37 serving as a great jumping on point for the book and the art and story by podcast favorite Francis Manapul and Brian Buccalleto have us both interested in what's to come from the Bat Book that isn't Scott Snyder's.

All this plus the latest Mad Max trailer, the Steven Colbert Report interview with Smaug, and more of the normal geeking out you love so much.

Can you believe it? Comic Issues is celebrating their 200th episode! The little podcast that started with four friends sitting in a diner is now a huge podcast of three friends sitting at a dining room table. Mind-boggling!

But seriously, thanks so much to everybody who tuned in to the double-sized LIVE STREAM of the 200th episode. Prizes were handed out, beer was poured, the listeners got sneaky with making the crew take drinks, and the age-old question was asked: if you were born a shape changer, wouldn't that make you bisexual? Wouldn't it?

Along the way we also talked Suicide Squad, Doctor Strange, and the right way to pronounce "gif." There was also a sing-along in the chat room, but that didn't make it to the recording. Next time, guys. Let it goooooooo....

HAVE YOU SEEN THAT STAR WARS EPISODE VII TEASER!! Yeah, you probably have, but here it is again *Lightsaber Noise*.  This week Anthony and Elizabeth have full on nerdgasms over the just released teaser and all of its tri-saber, rollie droid, X-Wing water skimming goodness!! The future is looking bright for a galaxy far far away!  oo bad for dinosaur theme parks aren't having as good of a time. The Jurassic World trailer also sent ripples through the glass of water that is this podcast.

We also read some comics...

DC makes a big splash this week with Gotham by Midnight #1, a GCPD meets Supernatural ongoing series with only a glimpse of The Bat. The biggest strength behind the book is the skin crawling artwork by Ben Templesmith, who's work on 30 Days of Night and Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse makes him a clear choice to team up with macabre writer Ray Fawkes who's been writing's DC's Constantine.  he podcast hero and heroine also continue on with the biggest dick of the Marvel U, Superior Iron Man. Together they ponder how despicable one man can get and how long can it last? Luckily they fell in love with IDW's new Ray Bradbury dedicated series Shadow Show #1, even if it was a little heartbreaking.

Speaking of holidays, it seems like you can always find three kinds of guests at a Thanksgiving dinner: the awesome person you most want to invite; the drama-magnet who ruins things; and the unexpected party-crasher, who could be amazing or rotten. With all of fandom to choose from, Anthony and Elizabeth figure out exactly who those guests would be. They also invite one more special guest...

After that they break down the latest issues of Marvel's Axis, Magneto, and Uncanny X-Men. Plus, they take a look at Image's Wytches, which is promising to get very creepy very fast.

Surely you already know that humans, the second greatest species on Earth, has landed a probe on the comet, Rosetta. I'm sure it's the talk about the town and the only thing people are talking about... wait, who's fat ass did what now? Well Anthony and Elizabeth are excited at this amazing technological event and this week the two get nerdy over Philae and dread the oncoming of the "Big One" that'll destroy the West Coast.

Also this week we read Avengers / X-Men: AXIS #5, All-New Captain America #1, Superior Iron Man #1, and the greatest comic you'll read all month (may year), Rocket Raccon #5. Join in on the fun and find out why these were our favorite comics of last week.

This week the crew got to participate in Energy 103.7 AJ's Kids Crane Con. This is the 13th year local DJ AJ has gone up in the crane and stayed for a week to support Rady Children's Hospital, but this is the first year that a geektastic convention has surrounded it.

Anthony, Andrew and Elizabeth gave away some comics, sold some lanyards, and witnessed a fantastic NintenDiego Super Smash Bros. 3DS tournament. And they got to record a panel in front of, seriously, one of the coolest audiences ever. Listen in to the Geek 101 discussion, recorded live at Crane Con.

As we're sure that you're already aware Marvel's huge announcement of the entire Phase 3 line up was announced last week, and the Internet passed out from fandom. This week Anthony and Elizabeth break down the coming storm, their hopes, their dreams, and Anthony's crazy theory about Phase 4!

Also this week we read Saga #24, Death of Wolverine: Deadpool & Captain America One Shot, and Marvel's 75th Anniversary Celebration. We talk all about these books and more, including last week's Memetic #1, because it was that cool!

This Sunday, November 9th, be sure to join us at CraneCon in the IKEA parking lot in San Diego.  We'll be helping to raise money for Rady's Children's Hospital with a Smash Brother's Tournament, kid friendly comic book readings, crafts, and photos ops with your favorite heroes. And don't miss out on our Geekdom 101 panel from 3pm to 4pm where we'll be opening the doors of fandom to those who may be a little nervous about getting into comics.

Last weekend we had an AWESOME time at San Diego Comic Fest 2014 because not only did we get to geek out on several panels about Sci-fi, Reboots, and more, but we also ran into our old friend Chris Gore! In need of a podcast we joined forces, Voltron Style, for another episode of PodCrash: Comic Issues!

High atop the Town & Country Hotel Anthony, Elizabeth, Chris, and extra special guest Andre Meadows of Black Nerd Comedy gathered together to form the podcast that fans both wanted AND needed. Sinking their collective claws deep into DC's recent boast of a movie release schedule, these geeks get into everything from Batfleck, to Justice League, and into the current DC TV line up. Not to be passed over though everyone also talks about Marvel's triumphs and what they're looking for in the next Star Wars movie.
