Comic Matteo Lane

Listen Later

Congressional Candidate SAM JAMMAL, and Comedians JOE DEVITO & DAVE JUSKOW. MATTEO LANE is a New York-based comedian, originally from Chicago.  Matteo is in the new Comedy Central series THE COMEDY JAM, and also recently performed on THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT, LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS and Comedy Central’s ADAM DEVINE’S HOUSE PARTY.  He can also be seen on MTV’s GIRL CODE and MTV2’s GUY CODE, and the IFC holiday special AT JOE’S PUB alongside Tony Hale and the Dap Kings. Matteo also recently co-created an IFC digital series called JANICE & JEFFREY that he stars in, and is developing an animated project with Titmouse.  In 2014, Matteo was selected to be a New Face at the Just For Laughs festival Montreal.  Before starting stand up, Matteo lived in Italy as an oil painter and opera singer. Joe DeVito's TV appearances include The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS, Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, and a semi-finalist turn on season five of NBC's Last Comic Standing. His savage wit has also made him an in-demand panelist on shows like Chelsea Lately, CNN's Headline News, Animal Planet's Wild 100, and a regular guest on FOX News Channel's Red Eye. As a writer, Joe has contributed to Maxim Magazine, MTV, and the award-winning film Super Size Me. Dave Juskow is an American comedian, writer and actor. Juskow is perhaps best known for such televisions shows and films as Men of a Certain Age, Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, TV Funhouse, The Sarah Silverman Program and The Wrestler.[1][2] Juskow is also a commentator for The Huffington Post. Sam Jammal is running for California's 39th congressional district. Sam studied at The George Washington University Law School, focusing on civil rights. Rather than taking a typical high-paying law firm job to pay down his student loan debt, Sam worked for Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) as a civil rights lawyer, advocating for the rights of Latino and immigrant students to receive a quality education. During the 2008 presidential election, Sam served as Chair of the Democratic National Committee’s Latino Voter Protection Task Force and worked on the Obama campaign. After the election, Sam stayed in Washington to serve as Legislative Counsel in the United States Senate where he focused on civil rights, labor and national security issues. Sam was later appointed by President Barack Obama to serve at the United States Department of Commerce where he worked to expand export opportunities for American companies and small businesses. Following his work at the Commerce Department, Sam served as Chief of Staff to a Southern California Member of Congress. Sam was one of the youngest in history to serve in this role, in addition to being one of only a handful of Arab or Latino Americans ever to serve as a Chief of Staff to a Member of Congress. In 2015, Sam returned home to La Mirada to work for SolarCity and later Tesla on their efforts to expand renewable energy and lower consumers’ energy bills throughout Southern California. Sam currently lives in Fullerton and continues to advocate for renewable energy development and job creation in the clean energy and technology sectors.
