After a rebirth, after wars of light and darkness, after fighting Green Lanterns and even the Guardians themselves. Hal Jordon is done. Sinestro becomes a Green Lantern once more, and in some ways even a hero. The Guardians on the other hand become the villains of the story after they realize emotions need to be snuffed out across the entire universe. This final chapter in the Geoff Johns Green Lantern run is the definition of climax. And I'm not ashamed to say I even got a little emotional in the end.

Hawkeye was raised to be a human weapon. Clint Barton is pretty good at what he does, probably not the best though; definitely not better than his partner Kate Bishop (the other Hawkeye). Trying to live a simple life in a downtown apartment, trouble finds him and it's wrapped in a shiny cheap track suit. Hawkeye, Hawkeye, and Lucky the pizza dog need to fight to save their home from some bros. Hopefully they don't break toto many bones in the process.

Daredevil has had a rough life, but never as rough as he is about to have. The Kingpin of crime finds out Daredevil's true identity and does everything in his power to ruin the good man's life. This beautifully illustrated and colored story goes to show what torturing a man's body and soul really looks like. But through it all Matt Murdock finds his faith to be a hero in the end.

The DC event that showed the real nightmares that haunt the universe. Blackest Night was years in the making, not just the climax of the Geoff John's Green Lantern run, but a culmination of every death and rebirth from every DC crisis level event. The Black Lantern rings scour the universe and raise the bodies of every fallen hero and villain causing nothing but more bodies to add to the dark army hell bent on snuffing out all light in the universe. Luckily Hal Jordan and the other lanterns of the colorful emotional spectrum know a thing or two about the toughness of Light.

After his Rebirth, Green Lantern opened up the spectrum of light. No longer were there just GREEN Lanterns that wield willpower. But Yellow (fear), Pink (love), Red (rage), Blue (hope), and Orange (greed). Unfortunately most of them don't exactly blend together.
This is a big episode where we cover the story arcs: Mystery of the Star Sapphires, The Sinestro Corps War, Rage of the Red Lanterns, and Agent Orange. As well as some material from Wanted: Hal Jordan, Secret Origin, and Alpha Lanterns. Basically all you need to understand the full range of the emotional spectrum.

Hal Jordan has been through a lot as Green Lantern, none worse than the lose of Cost City thanks to the hands of Mongul. So he did what anyone would do, recreate the city, kill the guardians of the universe along with all his friends, rename himself Parallax and become a villain hellbent on changing the universe in his image.... And then die and become the Spectre. Of course.
When all this is going on, how do you write a story that, not only makes Hal Jordan a good guy again, but doesn't just steam-roll over all the work the previous writers created. You bring in Geoff Johns and give us Green Lantern: Rebirth.

I'm joined again by my Blues Brother Todd to go over some of our favorite moments from James Gunn's 'The Suicide Squad. The newest movie in the DCEU (or whatever that is now)
There's tons of fun with lots of obscure cameos, Laughable moment, and lots and lots of mindless violence. We also dive into the future of the DC film franchises, both in theaters and HBO Max. The talk then goes into what DC is doing better than Marvel when it comes to catering to the adult market.
