I met with Angie Dalton, the woman warrior of Off Grid Living, Farming, Homeschooling and Family.  This is a pleasant conversation of her background, a bit of military, and Off Grid life in Missouri.  Angie has a wonderful attitude, shares her Blessed life and way of leaving less "footprints" in our state.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did..... I will say, there is one bit of conversation that I debated about leaving in, ultimately I left it in.  I was not there when she experienced this, I have my own opinions about the way she chose to frame the conversation, but this is her perspective.

I met with Pam at The Fountain Cafe, to discuss her journey from growing up in Fordland to buying her own restaurant.  Pam talked about her upbringing from her mom Gladys, her work ethic, raising children, buying a house and then the iconic Fountain Cafe in Fordland Missouri.  

Since we discussed some history of Fordland, I will add a little here.  Fordland, named after J.S. Ford a railroad official named Fordland in 1882.   Fordland is blessed to still have a Post Office in operation from 1882 and still going.  Fordland has the highest elevation in the area at 1604 feet above sea level and was home to a secret Air Force Radar station from 1952-1961.

My mission with these podcasts are to find women who are willing to sit down and talk about their life, the hurdles they face, overcome or go around, to get to where they are today.   

This pod is just me trying to keep up with all the legislative news that goes on daily, that folks just don't care to know about.... I mean, you know, Missourians voted their letter into office------ no need to follow what they are doing in office, right?  Sarcasm....... Ya'll need to pay attention and vote with your stupid wallet, not your alphabet.

It was my intention to create a pod in honor of Juneteenth, but I was wrapping up edits on another Pod and well, time gets away.... Now we have a new Federal Holiday to celebrate.  In this Pod I not so quietly voice my displeasure that it took the Springfield News leader three days to run a story on it,  only to find myself embarrassed that it took me nearly a week to record, edit and upload a Pod about it.  I hope ya'll can enjoy this and maybe learn a little bit from it.

11. Kat and Cass sit out on the deck and discuss Mental Health.  Baby Isabella commented as well.  May is Mental Health Month, and as several other Podcasters have stated, Mental Health should be talked about every month...

Cass has gone solo again and she is trying to hard to keep up with all the crazy ass shit that our taxpayer funded elected representatives are slinging at us.... So, here's a short piece and I can assure you, there's more to come..... Just like a herd of cows on fresh clover, its flying everywhere!

Cass is going solo.  I am not gonna lie, its a big challenge.  I round trip 2 hour commute to work, get home and do my farm chores, after an 8 hour day, it makes this a challenge to keep up..... I just feel passionate about this and when I tell folks whats been going on in MO and Fed politics, they are shocked....So, If folks don't wanta listen to this pod to find out the secrets of the Missouri gas tax Hike that we the Missouri tax payers did not vote for..... then, there is nothing I can do other than Podcasting and Blogging for the folks who just can't or won't research what the taxpayer paid elected officials are doing to yall.
