Xolani Reflects on The Gambia by  looking at The Gambian despotic leader Yahya Jammeh, who is testing the patience of continental leaders and it is important that they do not blink.  He is hell-bent on creating havoc in that tiny west African country and cause more pain and misery for the people there.  Earlier, the National Assembly passed a motion condemning what it called the "unlawful and malicious interference" of the African Union and the country's neighbour, Senegal, in The Gambia's affairs. At least three Gambian ministers, including the foreign minister, have resigned in recent days. Thousands of Gambians have also fled to Senegal, and further afield to Guinea-Bissau, amid fears of violence. So, far regional leaders must be commended for showing unshakable commitment to democracy and ensuring that the will of the people of the Gambia is respected. 

Xolani reflects on the disaster facing many owners of the Ford Kuga. After 13 months of this raging scandal and 47 Kugas bursting into flames it took threats and pressure from the National Consumer Commission  for them to finally do something. They have finally recalled the model. But it must be noted that no brand should be above the law. Ford must be held to high standards and customers must not allow them to get away with this .

This is very concerning as many parents struggle to receive maintenance from their spouses. But to get somebody arrested for defaulting raises a few alarm bells. Firstly is this normal or is this a peculiar case because this man is well known person.

At a time in which the latest road stats were released, it’s imperative that our testing stations are cleaned out and that we no longer become victims of corruption activities.

If we created awareness campaigns and started implementing it in our schools then we would be able to save the environment and build our  economy.

Fifty-eight thousand pupils in Gauteng, still have not been placed in schools with some parents claiming that they have been told to wait possibly until April. He says that as much as the Government system should benefit all the children, it’s also a wakeup call into parents who need to take responsibility too and get their children into school prior to the new opening year.
