Humans and apes have similarities: five fingers, opposable thumbs, and even some similarities in DNA. Of course, we also have massive differences! Creationists and evolutionists agree there’s similarity but not why we have similarities.
Evolutionists believe apes are our closest living relatives. They think the similarities point to a common ancestor. But we know from God’s Word that humans are created in the image of God distinct from all animals—including apes. We share common features because we have a common Designer. The different interpretations are because of our different starting points.
