Mrs. Latricia Taylor (CEO/Chair) of the Chasity Taylor Foundation came by the show to talk about her daughter Chasity Taylor who was killed in a DUI/DWI and the 5th Annual Chasity Taylor Foundation Community Give Back event to keep her memory alive!

Kayla Nasr, Community Development Manager and Stacy Hanson who is the Event Chair and is a Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer survivor came by the show to talk about their upcoming event Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and invited the community to get involved in their 5k Breast Cancer Walk event on October 19th.

Lesley Wells, CEO of Daniel came by the show to talk about Daniel’s 135 years in the market and being the #1 nonprofit organization. Lesley talked about being with Daniel for 32 years, her love for Daniel , the variety of program Daniel offers and her vision as CEO to keep empowering the community

April Seliga, MPH – Tobacco Prevention Program Manager came by the show to talk about Vaping and how it affects the community businesses in the Urban Core.

Coach Christa Wilson came by the show to talk about Water safety and her involvement with the River City Swim League. We discussed how the community can get involved with the numerous swimming activities over the summer to create family fun memories, learn how to swim and be safe during the summer holidays.

Angie Leatherberry came by the show to discuss the purpose of Restore as well as thank the community for their continued supports of Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville (HabiJax) .Angie spoke on how the community helps keep the mission of Habitat for Humanity Jacksonville Restore alive!

Cynthia Robinson, Co – Director from Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech came by the show to presents on issues in auditory-oral intervention, early literacy and successful mainstreaming both nationally and internationally. She has been working with children with cochlear implants for more than 25 years in self-contained classrooms, resource rooms and in the mainstream. She is actively involved in data collection to support children’s response to intervention. She provides direct service to students and families with center-based services and tele-practice . She invited the community to visit Clarke School to meet the students and teachers!

CEO Colleen Rodriguez came to the show to ta;l about the new exhibit at their Holocaust gallery featuring people who rescued others from the Holocaust. Plus, Colleen spoke about their wide variety of programs (everything from foster care to emergency financial assistance to counseling services) that transforms lives locally.
