Hope is an organization that serves students with developmental disabilities. Chief Communications Officer Jodi Ogilvy and Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Hope School programs in Springfield Amanda Brott spoke with Community Voices about the need for inclusivity in the community and the "power of play" in working with students.

Dr. Marcel Yoder is the Faculty Athletics Representative at the University of Illinois Springfield. He spoke with Community Voices about sports psychology and how people can use mental training to stay grounded during athletic activities as well as other activities such as music performance.

Midwest Mission is a Christian-based organization that provides humanitarian relief to organizations locally, nationally and internationally. The organization provides kits, resources and supplies to those in a crisis. Communications Manager Lisa Rigoni spoke to Community Voices about the peopled served by Midwest Mission as well as the volunteers, who help put resources together.

Thanks to the Illinois Humanities and the Smithsonian Institution, an exhibit titled "Voices and Votes: Democracy in America" is touring through Illinois and making a stop in Jacksonville, Ill. in late 2021, and Clinton, Ill. in early 2022. Matt Meacham the Program Manager of Statewide Engagement at the Illinois Humanities spoke to Community Voices about this exhibit as well as another traveling exhibit titled "Illinois Freedom Project."

Debbie Ross is a local performer who is known for singing for noteworthy events in Springfield, including events featuring U.S. presidents and politicians. She spoke with Community Voices about how she put together her band and her advice on performing.

Illinois Department of Public Health Health’s Connie Austin joins moderator Molly Lamb to discuss infectious disease and animals, including recent developments with the deer population around Lake Springfield.

This October the UIS theatre department will present "Stop Kiss" by Diana Son and directed by Missy Thibodeaux-Thompson. Joined by actors Siobhan Hoskins and Nia Tiller, Thibodeaux-Thompson spoke to Community Voices about the play and why it's message is important today. The group also discussed a return to live theatre and gave a synopsis of the show.

Terry Wunderle is an expert in archery and is referred to as "the shot doctor." He spoke to Community Voices about training Olympic medalists and the need to focus while trying to hit your mark. He lives in Mason City, where he continues to provide archery coaching. He has also written a book titled "Archery: Think and Shoot Like a Champion."

Adena Rivas is the programs coordinator for the Office of Public Works where she oversees the Waste & Recycling department. She also helped launch the Creative Reuse Marketplace, which is a store that takes donations of unwanted items and sells them for creative reuse. The facility also provides work for underserved women. Rivas spoke to Community Voices about her passion for reducing waste and improving the environment.
