Nicaragua is a country that caught us by surprise. After spending a month just outside of the city of Granada, we learned a lot about the people, culture, food, flora, and fauna of this not-so-touristy nation. We saw monkeys, people shaking their cars at the gas station, a lake in the crater of a volcano, and much more.
