Does the Pill cause cancer?
The journal Linacre Quarterly published an articleentitled The Reasons Hormonal Contraceptives and Induced Abortion Increase Breast-Cancer Risk. In that article, Dr. Angela Lanfranchi , Clinical Professor of Surgery at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School points out; “In 2005,…the UN’s World Health Organization classified hormonal contraceptives as Group 1 carcinogens for breast, cervical, and liver cancers after reviewing the world’s literature on estrogen-progestin combination drugs.”
Also on the list of Group 1 carcinogens are toxic agents like formaldehyde and plutonium. On October 6, President Trump ordered a roll back on an Obamacare mandate that all organizations of conscience pay for employee contraception coverage. This is viewed as a win for proponents of religious liberty. But in light of the carcinogenic nature of hormonal birth control, it seems like a win for women everywhere.

Why do environmentalists care about abortion?
The Center for Biological Diversity says on their website, “Human population growth is at the root of our most pressing environmental issues.” Earlier this year, Michael Brune from the Sierra Club said during a TV interview, “[Abortion] helps to address the number of the people that we have on this planet.”
The Pontifical Academies of Science and Social Science held a conference at the Vatican in March called “Biological Extinction.” Curiously, aggressive pro-abortion advocates, Drs. Paul Ehrlich and Partha Dasgupta, were the keynote speakers. They assert that human society and the global ecosystem are collapsing. The cause? Excessive reproduction and household consumption.
This brand of environmentalism assumes that women having too many children are the cause of societal collapse therefore abortion becomes part of the solution.
But can a humane society survive by destroying its future citizens?

Virtually all FDA approved childhood vaccines are manufactured using aborted baby cell lines.
Starting in 1979, pharmaceutical companies began producing vaccines using fetal cell lines from aborted babies, instead of nonhuman cell lines. Research is just now being done on the safety and efficacy of the manufacturing formula. Over the following 20 years, fetal cell line vaccines were phased in for all mandatory childhood inoculations.
Are using these human fetal cell lines safe? Sound Choice Pharmaceutical Institute says, “We don’t know.”
But there are moral implications to consider as well for those who believe abortion is the wrongful ending of innocent human life. Namely, profiting from the death of the preborn for one’s own benefit violates their conscience and causes them to participate in the dehumanization of mankind.
Should there be moral alternatives for parents who value the idea of inoculation but whose conscience will not permit them to ‘benefit’ from abortion?

Do black lives matter to the abortion industry?
Here are the facts:
- Black women make up approximately 6% of the U.S. population but account for 35% of all abortions.2
- On average, 346 black babies are aborted every day according to CDC numbers from 2013.3
- 17.9 million black babies have been aborted since 1973.4
- If not for abortion, the black community would be at least 32% larger than it is today.5
Two more quick facts:
- The nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, has chosen to locate 79% of its offices in minority communities.6
- And they receive over $500 million in taxpayer dollars every year
In light of these facts, is it surprising that the minority black community is bearing the majority of the abortion burden?

If a baby is aborted because of its gender, is that sexism? If a baby is aborted because of a genetic disorder like Down Syndrome, is that discrimination?
In 2016, Indiana passed a law banning abortion based on sex, race, and genetic abnormalities. Recently, U.S. District Court Judge Pratt granted Planned Parenthood’s request for a permanent injunction against that bill. Parents may continue aborting their children based on personal opinions about human perfection.
And then you have Courtney Baker. Her doctor pressured her to abort but she and her husband are grateful they did not share the doctor’s hopeless outlook knowing what they know now; their Down Syndrome baby is perfect.
Isn’t every child, regardless of sex, race, or genetics, equally human? If not, who gets to decide which ones aren’t?

How much does abortion impact the economy?
By arguing a change in deportation policy of illegal immigrants could cost the U.S. economy $460 billion, the Center for American Progress (CAP) makes the case that every individual worker adds economic value. Their number presumes that 91% of current illegal immigrants are contributing to the economy and that expelling them would reduce U.S. Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
CAP presumes people create economic value. Using their formula, the economic impact of abortion since 1973 can be easily analyzed. America has aborted over 60 million future workers. This translates into $14.7 trillion in GDP loss and an additional estimated loss of $8.3 trillion over the next ten years. For context, the entire U.S. GDP for 2016 was $18.5 trillion.
It appears that abortion is bad economics.

Illinois recently passed a bill permitting State Medicaid to pay for abortion. Will ‘free’ abortion increase abortion rates?
Recent Polls show the majority of Americans, including those that identify as pro-choice, oppose public funding of abortion. The Federal government reflects the will of the people on this with the Hyde Amendment. The Hyde Amendment restricts the use of federal tax dollars backing abortion. This amendment to the appropriations bill has been passed, and signed annually since 1976 enjoying significant bipartisan support.
A 2009 Guttmacher literature review reveals that “18-37% of pregnancies that would have ended in Medicaid funded abortions were carried to term when funding was no longer available.” To illustrate: 47%of abortions in NY are paid for by Medicaid. And NY is the abortion capital of the U.S.
The formula is simple: Free abortion equals more abortions.

On February 4, 2017, young, vibrant Keisha Adkins died because of an abortion. The autopsy report concluded, "She likely did have an infection from the abortion process."
Is abortion safe? One abortionist is known to have said, “There are only two kinds of doctors who have never perforated a uterus, those that lie and those who don’t do abortions.” A 2009 medical journal study reveals 68,000 women die every year from abortion.
The lowest common denominator for every medical provider is to at least do no harm. Is it possible to perform an abortion without causing harm? The abortion procedure that took Keisha’s life, along with tens of thousands of others each year, is the same procedure that millions of other women are exposed to when they seek abortion.
Is abortion safe? The question is important if we really care about the health and safety of women.

Is abortion ethical medicine? If the purpose of medicine is to heal and maintain the health of the individual, we can then evaluate the merit of abortion and whether it qualifies as appropriate medical care.
With abortion there are two individuals to be considered.
For a woman facing unplanned pregnancy, abortion represents the interruption of a healthy reproductive system, her body behaving as it was designed. In what way does abortion heal her healthy system?
Now consider the second individual, the preborn boy or girl. The life of a separate and distinct human, with his own DNA is intentionally stopped. In what way does abortion maintain the health of this smallest of all patients?
In the history of western medicine, abortion has always been considered the opposite of ethical medical care. Why else would the Hippocratic Oath, which is the basis for western medical ethics, state “I will not give a woman an abortive remedy…”?

They are many causes but no one disputes that abortion is linked to future preterm deliveries. Not even abortionists. Surgical abortion increases relative risk of future preterm birth by 52% and low birth weight by 41%.1 The risk increases with each additional abortion.
One of the reasons for this is that surgical abortions require the forcible opening of the cervix in order to extract the baby, causing “cervical incompetence.” This permanently damages the cervix, weakening it so that carrying a pregnancy to full-term becomes difficult or impossible.
Another reason for preterm deliveries is found in a 2007 medical journal study, noting that abortion causes a thinning of the uterine lining, making it difficult to sustain pregnancy.2
Many women seriously considering abortion want to have children in the future. Is it important that they know abortion may damage their chances of a healthy future pregnancy?3
