The fourteenth amendment to the U.S. Constitution states in part, “…[no] State may deprive any person of life…without due process of law; nor deny to any person…the equal protection of the laws.”
Abortion became legal in 1973 because the Supreme Court determined that the word “person” in the Fourteenth Amendment does not include the preborn child.
To do this SCOTUS ignored the fact that the fourteenth amendment was drafted and ratified by people and States that DID include preborn children in the definition of “person.” The Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy (Vol 40, No. 2) states, “By the time of the Fourteenth Amendment’s adoption, nearly every State had criminal legislation proscribing abortion and most of these were classified among ‘offenses against the person.’”

What does abortion expansion have to do with the New York State budget? Many legislators are asking that question.
Governor Cuomo knows that a stand-alone abortion expansion bill is very unpopular in a State with the most permissive abortion laws in the world next to North Korea. So in 2013, Governor Cuomo attempted abortion expansion under the cover of a larger ten point Women’s Equality Bill. That did not work. Now in 2018 he is attempting the same thing but is trying to smuggle it through the shadows of the budgetary process.
Abortion expansion legislation for which Cuomo is fighting would essentially raise abortion to the level of a fundamental human right. If passed, refusing to participate in it, or worse advocate against it, would be construed as a punishable civil rights violation.

Can a government force dissenting people to carry the water of its new moral agenda? California is trying. They passed a lawrequiring all pro-life clinics to tell patients where they can get an abortion. 130 pregnancy clinics insist the mandate violates the healing purpose of medicine, that all humans, including the preborn ones, deserve protection equally.
The medical centers claim the law forces them to convey the government’s belief in direct conflict to their own, violating their first amendment rights.
The U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear the case on March 20, 2018. If SCOTUS rules the California law is constitutional, a wet blanket will be thrown on the fire of liberty for all who wish to live in the integrity of their beliefs.

Trump’s election is causing many liberal States to enact new pro-abortion legislation. Their fear is the Trump administration will gut a woman’s right to abortion. The extreme zeal of some State governments to protect abortion is so fundamentalist that many in power are willing to force people of contrary religious views to participate in their zealotry or suffer punishment.
These laws force health insurance (NY), physicians (IL), and pregnancy centers (CA) to participate in abortion.
Why would a government feel the need to coerce citizens against their conscience to promote its abortion beliefs?
Could their fight really be about the definition of a right; created by government vs innate to each person? Could abortion really be about control not freedom?

Last September New York Attorney General, Eric Schneiderman, insisted current state law leaves the abortion door open through all nine months of pregnancy. Yet now he is promoting radical abortion expansion legislationwhich he contends merely codifies Federal law.
This raises three questions:
1) Since the Supreme Court rulings of 1973 conceded a state’s right to place restrictions on abortion, how would total deregulation of abortion serve to make NY law more consistent?
2) Mr. Schneiderman already reads existing NY State law as permitting abortion at any time. Can more legislation fill a cup already full?
3) If the role of Attorney General is to enforce existing law, is it appropriate for him to use his position to lobby for new ones?

The world’s leading abortion business, Planned Parenthood, announcedthat their president, Cecile Richards, is resigning. The monolithic non-profit gulps more than half a billion in Federal tax money annually. However, since 2015 they have been mired in the mud of scandal, after being caught illegally profiteering in aborted baby body parts.
Richards has shared the media spotlight with top political figures after becoming the abortion boss. She claims she is stepping aside to work on her memoirs. Yet during her tenure as head of the abortion giant, the volume of patients and procedures declined dramatically except for one; abortion.
Poor performance coupled with two congressional recommendations for criminal investigation…the astute observer might be tempted to conclude her reasons for resignation are not so benign.

Why does Governor Cuomo’s bloated 168.2 Billion dollar budget proposal include seemingly unrelated pet projects?
One such peripheral mandates all health insurance plans cover abortion and abortion-causing birth control. Supporting budgetary documentationstresses, “…the Governor has taken action…to cover contraceptive drugs and devices and…abortion services without co-pays, coinsurance, or deductibles.”
The documentation demonstrates his almost worshipful devotion to abortion stating: “[he] will also continue to champion a constitutional amendment to codify these protections into the State constitution.” How could an elective medical procedure for women ever be construed as a general human right protected by the constitution?
More to the point, how is mandating that all New Yorkers pay for abortion with their private insurance premiums a budgetary issue? Can the State no longer afford to foot the bill for 49% of all NY’s abortions via Medicaid?

Approximately 18,000 abortions annually are perpetrated on babies past 20 weeks in the U.S. A bill was introduced banning these late abortions due to the barbaric pain inflicted on babies by the abortion process. President Trump vowed to sign it. However, the measure failed after 46 Senators junkedit January 29.
President Trump aired his disappointment in a statement released shortly after saying, “…only 7 out of 198 nations, including China and North Korea, allow elective abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. We must defend those who cannot defend themselves.”
The bill has noble intentions, but should the protection of a person depend on how much pain they can feel? If each human, no matter their age, is not equally valuable and equally deserving of protection under the law, who decides who lives or dies?

“…the breast cancer epidemic is due to preventable factors,” concludes a recent literature review.
Two undisputed factors for preventing breast cancer are 1) a first full term pregnancy earlier in life and 2) increasing the duration of breast feeding. A third major factor for reducing a woman’s risk of breast cancer has emerged: Not having an abortion.
Multiple studies show increased breast cancer risk due to abortion.
- A 2013 Chinese review of 36 different studies found that one abortion increased risk 44%, while three increased it 89%.
- A 2013 Indian study indicated a 6.3X increased risk.
- A 2013 study in Bangladesh found a staggering 20-fold increase risk.
Findings are similar in Russia, Japan, Iran, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Turkey.
Breast cancer rates rose as these countries delayed childbearing, opted out of breast feeding, and had more abortions.

A recent study found a 38% increased risk of breast cancer with the use of hormonal birth control.
Since 2005, the World Health Organization listedhormonal birth control as a Group 1 Carcinogen (along with plutonium) increasing the risk of breast cancer by as much as 96%. Since 1970, breast cancer incidences increased 242%. The increase coincided with the introduction of hormonal birth control, according to a global literature review.
Additionally, hormonal contraception can cause abortion, yet another risk factor for breast cancer. Other risks include increases in dementia, heart attack, ovarian cancer, stroke, and weight gain.
Knowing the highly toxic nature of hormonal contraception, should any doctor of conscience prescribe it to women without warning them?
