On June 11, 2018 New York Assembly Bill 11150 was introduced, which targets Pregnancy Centers for legislative investigation.

The rationale for the bill is that Pregnancy Centers are harmful to the communities they serve. But when was the last time someone died in a pregnancy center? Now ask that same question of an abortion clinic. And when was the last time the health department inspected a State regulated abortion clinic.

If passed, the investigation could require pregnancy centers to violate donor and client confidentiality in order for the political left to ascertain the nature of Pregnancy Center revenue and extent of services.

The bill appears to amount to nothing more than pro-abort politicians, weaponizing government at taxpayer expense to bully the abortion industry’s only competitor.

In the final days of New York’s 2018 legislative session an abortion expansion battle rages.

Governor Cuomo has many times sought to radically expand abortion in NY…the abortion capital of the U.S. The barrier to his plans has been the historically Republican controlled Senate. However, Republicans lost the majority in recent special elections and the Senate is now evenly split.

In a twist of disturbing irony, Democrats attached abortion expansion as an amendment to a bill designed to increase penalties for animal cruelty. It did not make it to the floor because the amendment was ruled as not germane.

New York’s abortion laws are extremely lax by international standards. Should citizens be troubled by the fact that half of NY Senators see no moral conflict between a bill dehumanizing preborn babies and a bill increasing animal rights?

The science of embryology shows that a unique human life begins at fertilization. Each Invitro Fertilization process then includes up to four points at which preborn babies are aborted.

Once the lab techs fertilize the eggs with the sperm multiple embryos are created. Those embryos are then rated for ‘viability’ and tested for any potential abnormalities.

The least desirable are destroyed. Up to several of those considered the best are implanted in the mother’s uterus and those that remain are frozen in liquid nitrogen. Most never survive either the implantation or the freezing process.

Once implantation in the uterus has been confirmed there is a determination of multiples and possible ‘reduction’ occurs. This is a fancy way of saying induced abortion.

Discrimination of girls begins in the womb. Many people in whose culture there is both a preference of sons over daughters and where abortion is legal disproportionately abort their girls. This has led to a imbalanced ratio of boys to girls in those places. Many countries have attempted to abate this problem with government bans with no success.

However, there is one country that has seen a reversal in this disastrous phenomenon and it is South Korea. According to a study published by the Journal of Biosocial Science one of the primary predictors for sex-selection abortion of girls is religion. The study shows that the influence of Christianity dramatically offset the use of sex selection abortion of girls in a ‘son preference’ culture.

Earlier in May the Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar received an open letter from a massive coalition of 80 national pro-life agencies.

A long held concern is that Federal Funding through the Title X Family Planning Program violates the long standing Hyde Amendment which bans the use of Federal monies to be used for abortion. However, this money is often tangled up with organizations like the abortion giant Planned Parenthood for which Title X funding makes up its second largest funding stream.

The open letter requests a return to Reagan era regulations which would simply not permit monies to go to organizations where abortion is performed as a method of family planning.

Abortionist Robert Rho of Queens, NY pled guilty to homicide for the killing of his abortion patient Jaime Lee Morales. Rho will be sentenced on July 26 2018. After three weeks of criminal trial and jury deliberation Rho accepted a plea deal.

Morales, went to Liberty Women’s Healthcare in Flushing, NY for a second trimester abortion on July 9, 2016. After suffering multiple lacerations to her reproductive system including a punctured uterus, Morales was released to her sister hemorrhaging who took her to a Bronx hospital where she died later that day.

After a grand jury investigation Rho was arrested for the botched abortion and released after posting $400,000 bail.

A 2009 medical journal study reveals 68,000 women die every year from abortion.

The U.S. Supreme Court has a checkered past.

Here are three horrific mistakes that have been corrected and a fourth which yet cries out:

1) 1823 SCOTUS denied Native Americans the right to own property in order to acquire free land.

2) 1857 SCOTUS decreed black slaves had no rights at all so others could have for free labor.

3) 1927 SCOTUS insisted that the “mentally unfit” had no rights to themselves so they could be forcibly sterilized to realize a defect free utopia.

4) 1973 SCOTUS proclaimed, “The word ‘person’ does not include the unborn.” And the dragon of abortion on demand was born.

How long before America rights this wrong? “But let justice roll down like the waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream” (Amos 5:24).
