Through medical experimentation Nazi doctors committed atrocious crimes against humanity. To keep this from happening again the Nuremberg Code was developed. Provision three of the code states, “The experiment should be so designed and based on the results of animal experimentation…that the anticipated results will justify the performance of the experiment.”

A studyregarding safety testing for abortion says: “We have not been able to find any animal studies of vacuum aspiration abortion published in the peer-reviewed medical literature.”

Since there is zero evidence of safety in animal trials, surgical abortion is technically experimental.

If politicians were truly interested in protecting women’s rights wouldn’t they be calling for an investigation of abortion instead of expanding it via the Reproductive Health Act?

A study published by the New England Journal of Medicine, found that race is nota factor that impacts the rate of spontaneous termination of pregnancy, crippling and killing children. So why do black women have preterm delivery rates significantly higher than all other ethnicities according to the recently published New York State vital statistics?

Another recent study lends a clue. It found that a history of surgical abortion increased a woman’s risk of future pre-term births. The Institute of Medicine noted that induced abortion is an “immutable medical risk factor associated with preterm birth.” So if black women have a higher than average rate of pre-term birth one should see if they have a higher rate of abortion. Unsurprisingly, the recent reportout of New York City shows just that.

New York City recently released data showing there were 59,854 abortions in 2016. Approximately 10% of all U.S. abortions are performed in the city where 31% of all pregnancies end in abortion. A deeper look shows an unsettling reality; while the black community represents 24% of the population, 39% of all abortions are performed on black women. For every black child born there are 1.03 aborted. If you are conceived to a black mother you are more likely to be aborted than born alive.

There is a glimmer of hope. While abortion numbers came down 5.3% from 2015, abortions in the black community fell more than twice that - 12.6%. Is the black community waking up to this scourge upon their people?

It is illegal to sell aborted baby body parts for profit. Planned Parenthood was accused of doing just that with a company called Advanced BioScience Resources (ABR) after an undercover operation sparked an ongoing investigationby the Department of Justice. Now the Federal Drug Administration announced a contractwith Planned Parenthood’s partner, ABR, to purchase ‘fresh human tissue.’ This human tissue is derived from newly aborted babies.

-According to current Federal law, tax dollars cannot be spent on abortion. If the FDA spends tax dollars for aborted baby body parts, wouldn’t that make the government complicit in the illegal activity of an already suspect industry?

-Why would the FDA enter into a contract with an organization under investigation for the very thing it is contracting with them to provide?

On August 7, Gov. Cuomo launched a ‘Public Awareness Campaign on Reproductive Health Care Resources.’ The drive includes direct advertising and a website dedicated in large part to promoting the services of private abortionists. According to the press release this drive is necessary because of alleged reports of misleading Crisis Pregnancy Centers offering free services. The release states: “These centers’ actions may interfere with New Yorkers’ constitutionally protected rights to seek reproductive health care and may endanger them by preventing them from receiving medically accurate information.”

Questions abound…

-Shouldn’t abortionists pay for their own advertising rather than the tax payer?

-Ads defaming a competitor’s reputation are illegal. If Crisis Pregnancy Centers are as dangerous as the governor alleges why hasn’t a single CPC been convicted of…anything…ever, including misinformation? Can the same be said for abortionists?

Abortion rates in Monroe County plummeted 16.9% in 2016 according to recently released New York State vital statistics, the most recent year of statistics available. The reduction outpaces the state decline of 5.2% by more than three fold. It is the largest year over year drop in Monroe County’s long abortion history, hitting an all-time low of 1,588 total abortions. The high-water mark for Monroe County was in 2008 and it is the only county, with more than 500 annual abortions, to experience a continual yearly decline, resulting in a staggering 58% reduction in nine years!

The abortion cost to have one hundred babies in Monroe County in 2008 was 43. Now the cost to have 100 babies has been reduced to 20 abortions.

In the recent weeks NY Governor Andrew Cuomo has rolled out a re-election campaign message that claims women will lose their ‘reproductive rights’ if Trump has his way with the Supreme Court overturning the abortion case Roe v. Wade. But constitutionally, if Roe is overturned all that would happen is that abortion would default back to state law. And since New York State legalized abortion three years before Roe how would its reversal impact New York?

Cuomo’s insistence that women’s reproductive rights are in jeopardy is patently false. Why then is he using this language to promoteabortion through all nine months of pregnancy, way beyond the comfort limits of the vast majority of Americans?

Is Cuomo using abortion to manipulate more votes for re-election? Or could he be ignorant of how the U.S. Constitution works?

In June, Supreme Court pro-abortion Justice Anthony Kennedy retired. Ironically he did so after a stern warning to liberal states like California not to go the route of tyrannical regimes by targeting the faith of prolife pregnancy centers. Now President Trump seeks the confirmation of a prolife replacement for Kennedy.

Many pro-abortion politicians such as Governor Cuomo fearfully insist this spells the certain doom of the 1973 Supreme Court case that paved the way for abortion on demand, Roe v. Wade.

However, overturning Roe v Wade would not outlaw abortion. It simply would kick it back down to the states to decide. New York for instance legalized abortion three years before the Roe ruling. It appears the only impact overturning Roe would have on New York is the revitalization of abortion tourism.

On Tuesday, June 26 the Supreme Court ruled a controversial California law, unconstitutional. Is this a victory or merely a reprieve?

The law required pro-life pregnancy centers (PRCs) to participate in referring women for abortion. The majority opinion holds that the law violated the PRCs freedom of speech. The opinion of the nine justices split along ideological lines 5-4.

The PRCs prevailed using freedom of speech arguments rather than religious liberty. But the foundation for freedom of speech is religious liberty. How long can we expect freedom of speech to continue to protect pregnancy centers, especially when the PRCs fundamental beliefs are at odds with the core tenants religiously held by a secular state?
