Residents in one Shannon housing estate are raising fresh concerns about speeding, warning it's only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured.  

A social media post highlighting vehicles travelling too fast through Tola Park has sparked widespread discussion, with many questioning whether the current 30km/h speed limit is appropriate for residential estates. 

Among those adding her voice is Laura Coady, who has campaigned for improved road safety since the tragic death of her ten-year-old son, Dylan Coady Coleman, after he was struck by a vehicle near Purcell Park in February 2024.  

Joining Alan Morrissey earlier were concerned Shannon residents Berni Linnane and Laura Coady, and later joined by Morning Focus listener Steve.
