Proteger os dados sensíveis dos clientes deve ser mais uma da tarefas importantes de uma empresa e, para isso, uma lei foi criada: a LGPD, ou a Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados.
Yanis Stoyannis, gerente de consultoria e inovação de Cybersecurity da Embratel e especialista em Cybersecurity no Brasil, voltou para falar um pouco mais dessa lei que vem causando muita dúvida nas empresas.
Devido à pandemia e à particularidades burocráticas, ainda se discute adiamentos e datas limites para as empresas que lidam com dados sensíveis se adequarem. Yanis falou sobre isso e sobre como hoje, antes da lei entrar em vigor, essas empresas estão lidando com esses dados e quais as melhores práticas para a adequação à lei.

The latest information on the law that adapts the use of sensitive data.
Protecting customers' sensitive data must be one of the most important tasks for a company and, for that, a law was created: the LGPD, or the General Data Protection Law.
Yanis Stoyannis, manager of Cybersecurity consulting and innovation at Embratel and a specialist in Cybersecurity in Brazil, came back to talk a little more about this law that has been causing a lot of doubt in companies.
Due to the pandemic and bureaucratic particularities, postponements and deadlines are still being discussed for companies that deal with sensitive data to adapt. Yanis talked about this and how today, before the law goes into effect, these companies are dealing with this data and what are the best practices for compliance with the law.

El mercado ya estaba planeando mayores interacciones con la IA, pero ¿qué hizo la pandemia COVID-19 con estos planes y cuál es el futuro de la digitalización en la industria?
Eduardo Durán, Consultor Sénior de la Gerencia de Innovación enfocada en Analytics e IA en Entel Chile y también nuestro invitado de la semana, habló sobre los planes de IA, IoT y 5G para América Latina.
También comentó sobre cómo la Inteligencia Artificial será crucial para poder compartir todo tipo de información sobre el Coronavirus y cómo será importante prevenir pandemias como esa en el futuro.
Con respecto al retraso en el desarrollo de 5G en la región, Eduardo dijo que no es para nada negativo, ya que no podríamos disfrutar plenamente de las aplicaciones de esta nueva generación estando solo en casa.

Eduardo Duran, Senior Consultant for Innovation Management focused on Analytics and AI at Entel Chile and also our guest of the week, spoke about the AI, IoT and 5G plans for Latin America.
He also commented on how Artificial Intelligence is going to be crucial to be able to share all kinds of information about Coronavirus and how it will be important to prevent pandemics like that in the future.
Regarding the delay in the development of 5G in the region, Eduardo said that it is not at all negative, since we would not be able to fully enjoy the applications of this new generation being only at home.

Eduardo Ricotta, president for the Southern Cone of Latin America at Ericsson, spoke with Conecta Latam this week and talked a little bit about how the sector in Latin America has adapted to new consumer needs and has remained resilient and also how it has been working together with streaming platforms and social networks to cope with this new demand.
He also told us how 5G is going to completely change countries' ability to generate other types of wealth and how it is going to change mainly health and education.
As much as the pandemic has delayed 5G plans for Latin America, the 5th generation of Telecommunication will be less part of a problem and more part of the solution.
