S3E5- Identity is a big thing these days. What does God say? What does the world say? What do I say? These are big questions that are knocking on the doors of our lives. Especially our preteens and teens.

Brianna Moore, over at God Hearted Girls is taking a Biblical stand on this topic and more and sharing with the world! God Hearted Girls is a ministry dedicated to helping young girls gain a knowledge of how much God loves them and what He created them to be. The desire of their heart is to provide FREE resources to girls, churches, community groups, and anyone else who might be interested in sound Biblical material.

This is something that needs to be shouted from the rooftops! Sound Biblical resources that can help our children get to know God in a more real and intimate way is exactly what our world needs.

S3E4- Understanding our circumstances is not always easy. Understanding what's happening in our lives in light of scripture is not always easy either but wow does it change everything! 

When we use the lens of scripture to talk to God about what's happening in our every day lives it  gives us hope and clarity. Something we are all longing for. 

My guest today is such a sweet sister in Christ, Kaycee Parker. She recently released her book, Devotions on Diabetes. She takes her experience with type 1 diabetes and views it through the lens of the Bible. Something that can be applied to all aspects of our lives. 

She was diagnosed at age 12, and has lived with diabetes for more than 30 years. With a degree in journalism and a storyteller’s heart, she has loved sharing stories as far back as   she can remember. Kaycee and her  pastor husband have a love for God’s Word and discipleship, two beautiful children, and a rapidly aging dog. She enjoys treating diabetes highs with insulin, treating lows with marshmallow fluff straight from the spoon, and treating diabetes as an opportunity to seek God and point others to Him.

S3E3-  This week's guest is one of my new friends, TA Flatland. She is a whole hearted follower of Jesus, wife, mother and the host of the Recourse Podcast. She has a wonderful gift of helping others be comfortable and safe as they share their testimonies of God's goodness. We all have a story that God has entrusted us with, and she helps others share those to encourage the world.

S3E2 - My new friend Grace joined me this week for an amazing conversation about knowing who we are in Christ. Our identity is something that needs to be rooted deeply in the Lord and in what he says about us in scripture. S3E1-  Today's guest is a new friend of mine, Katy McCown.

She is a writer for Proverbs 31 Ministries, host of the Best Day Ever podcast, and author of She Smiles without Fear and She Belongs: Finding Your Place in the Body of Christ.  Katy left her job as a television news reporter to join her husband, Luke, on their adventure in the National Football League. Luke and Katy have six children.

As the wife of a former NFL player, podcast host and author Katy McCown knows how it feels to yearn for a sense of belonging. Spending time alone in new, unfamiliar cities as part of her husband’s profession, Katy often searched for ways to connect and build community with but often felt like she was handling life all on her own.

In her new six-session Bible study, She Belongs: Finding Your Place in the Body of Christ, Katy provides personal stories and struggles, illustrations, companion teaching videos and questions that remind readers the key to keeping it together is coming together in the body of Christ. This week’s guest is my new friend, and soon to be yours too, Rachel Miller! Rachel is a child of God, wife, mother and among other things a self-taught local Art Instructor in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was previously an educator for 20 years and recently made a change for her family so she can follow the Lord’s leading to homeschool their children and grow the art business. She owns Create In Me, a wonderful art business that offers custom crafts for every occasion. The Create In Me name was inspired by Psalm 51:10 , “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

Rachel’s heart is for the Lord and she has the gift of seeing God in all the little things of life. Today in the final episode of season 2 of the podcast we are finishing with a story from Rachel about how God showed his merciful grace through a recent class Rachel led. The moment I heard this story I knew you had to hear it! 

We all need reminded of the goodness, faithfulness, mercy and grace of our wonderful God! This conversation will do just that for each of us!
