Confident Collective

Today's solo episode is so summer-coded, but first, let's catch each other up! Kristina shares how she used to romanticize traveling, but when the kids stay at home, the fear sets in. Also teeming with anxiety, Raeann talks about the chaos of moving in New York. And of course, our weekly obsessions — Kristina chats about The Valley, while Raeann does a deep dive into the allure of rodent men. Summer is finally here and we are so ready for the pool parties and beach hangs that are in our near future. We emphasize that we need to start embracing the bodies we are in now and stop tearing ourselves down. We share advice on how to build up our confidence and mental health, from going on daily walks to planning outfits ahead of time to ditching makeup for a natural glow. This summer, aim to feel like your most authentic and effortless self.

Today's Ask Away episode is full of juicy drama, but first, get excited confidants!! On June 29th, we're throwing a Confident Collective Pool Party in Los Angeles! It was one of our highlights from last year and tickets sold out so fast so make sure to set a reminder to buy them this weekend. As we recap our week, Raeann shares the details of her first hormone-fueled fight with Gabe. Kristina chimes in that the hormone rage just heightens after you have kids, just one of the joys of being a woman. Kristina also chats about her fight with Steve and him being antisocial with the soccer dads. In this week's obsessed, Kristina is raving about the start of a great Jersey Shore summer and Raeann is listing off curvy girl leads and crossing her fingers for a racy scene in Bridgerton. The girls brought plenty of drama this week. We explore a brother-in-law's whirlwind engagement and the tension that results within the family. Red flags are apparent, but we give our two cents on how to restore harmony. We also discuss how to navigate a "glow down" season, from embracing self-care and mindset changes to putting on a cute new outfit. One girl asks for advice on how to proceed with a potential (aka definite) f-boy, while another asks whether or not to disclose all of her past relationships from her sexcapade era to her partner. We also offer encouragement to those in their early 20s to embrace this chaotic chapter in their lives. Hope our advice helped and we can't wait to see you all in person on June 29th!

In today's solo episode, we are chatting about embracing the cringe and not letting people's opinions get in the way! Raeann posted about her butt acne issues and her community came through with helpful advice, the girlies understand. Especially helpful as we're in our sporty girl era, Kristina is excited about joining a beach volleyball team and Raeann is currently training for a half-marathon. We also chat about our expectations when it comes to surprises… catch Raeann's couch boy 2.0 surprise reaction with Gabe on our Patreon. Also soon to be on Patreon, Kristina drops that she's having sleep coach, Steph Fischer, guest star to give advice to us parents who need a little help getting our little ones to sleep. In pop culture news, we dissect our favorite rom-coms and swoon over Tom Brady in his latest feature on The Roast. Okay, let's get into why being a little cringe is not a bad thing! Our opinion is that to be successful you must do things that are considered cringe-worthy, especially when you're just starting out. Kristina and Raeann relive their moments of cringe and why those moments also got them to where they are now in their careers. Once we get rid of this limiting belief and stop caring about other people's opinions, we can truly start being our most successful, badass selves. Post the TikTok, join the sports league, start painting, write the book, do whatever it is that you feel excited and passionate about and don't worry about what others say or think, they're just jealous anyways!

Today's Ask Away is a good one, but first a little life recap! Raeann may have came back from her Mexico vacation paler than when she got there, but her relationship with Gabe has grown stronger. Raeann and Kristina share how they feel like they are glowing down, but apparently it's a normal feeling in your early 30s so love that for us. Speaking of aging, Kristina got a 3D mirror image of her face and left with Botox recommendations and how to fix her tech neck. Also, Kristina drops that she is Taylor Swift's muse?! One of her songs mentions an interview Kristina had with Travis Kelce and the Swifites are obsessed to say the least. Meanwhile, Raeann is fixated on the common theme that men never ask questions on dates and are just terrible conversationalists; the reason why is up for debate. On today's Ask Away, we give advice that will hopefully help you navigate your life dilemmas. Dating a short king can be an insecurity for some, but just own it! Rock the high heels and don't be self-conscious about it. We also give our hot takes on how to get comfortable with flirting out in the wild. If you leave the RBF behind and give them a compliment about how much you love their shoes, you'll be just fine. We share our thoughts on how to handle being friend-zoned and the best way to ask your friend to pay you back. You got this ladies, just be yourself and be confident!

Today we sit down with Chelsea Blackwell to unveil what really went down during her time on Love is Blind, the Megan Fox debacle, and her dating life post Jimmy. Chelsea thought she didn't say or do anything too crazy on the show that would bring unwanted attention, but little did she know that she would soon be roasted by America for saying Megan Fox is her celebrity doppelgänger. As she navigates this new life in the spotlight, she is handling the scrutiny with humor and grace while embracing exciting new opportunities with confidence. Chelsea gives her raw thoughts on the Love is Blind experiment, if she would do it again, and what really happens during a normal day in the pods. She opens up about her toxic relationship with Jimmy and the unexpected rollercoaster of emotions. As she reenters the dating scene, she is excited to see what happens and may even slide into some celebrity DMs. From being a jet-setting flight attendant to being a verified reality star, the world is truly your oyster and we cannot wait to see what's next for you, Chelsea! In other news, Raeann fills us in on her first vacation with Gabe! Other than Raeann ditching Gabe for TSA pre-check, it went swimmingly! Kristina and Raeann real talk about the dreaded bathroom sitch when traveling with your significant other. Are you a lobby bathroom or embrace the awkwardness type of person? Also, Raeann is still on the apartment hunt, apparently finding a place in NYC for under 10k/month is not an easy feat. And Kristina raves about her friend's new movie, Musica, on Amazon. This is an episode you won't want to miss, and if you haven't seen Chelsea's season of Love is Blind, we highlyyy recommend for a great binge-watch!

In today's solo episode, we talk about growing up as the bigger friend and the universal experiences we went through as a result. But before we dive in, we have to fill you in on a few things. Big steps were taken as Gabe met Raeann's parents for the first time! There might have been a little chaotic family energy but we realized every family has a little crazy in them. Speaking of, how often do you talk to your parents?? Kristina's trip to elusive Sarasota finally left the group chat. We also chat about the financial pressure of over-the-top bachelorette parties and similarly, the slippery slope over birthday dinners when the check comes. And of course, in pop culture news, Nick Viall's reality recap podcast enlightens us with a male perspective about constantly critiquing your partner and the debate over proactive couple's therapy. If you've ever felt the anxiety that comes with writing down your extra-large t-shirt size in a room full of size smalls, this is for you. Being the big girl in the friend group or growing up as the bigger girl, we have had to endure many experiences that take a hit to our self-esteem. The defeating experience of prom dress shopping, not being able to share clothes with friends, and the feeling that no boys like you, were just some of the fun things we had to go through as the bigger friend. Raeann and Kristina also open up about how their families affected their body confidence, both the good and the bad. As we work through our past traumas, we learn to change our mindset and how we should talk to ourselves. This change in mindset was largely due to the body-positive movement in the media and seeing others embrace self-love at any size. Hype yourself up and fake it till you make it because you ARE hot!

We are thrilled to sit down with the inspiring plus-size content creator, Emma Arletta. She is the face behind the 'Big Girls' movement, is a prominent voice in the body confidence community, and is known to give great advice about dating as a plus-size woman. Emma delves into the dynamics of growing up with a thin mom and how her journey for self-love and confidence grew into what it is today. Finding confidence within yourself can be challenging, but it is so important to look within yourself to find what brings you fulfillment and joy outside of your looks. Emma talks about her transition from being a full-time Speech Therapist to a full-time content creator. She gives advice about personal branding and how to use your unfiltered voice to grow on social media. We also hear about her merch launch that sold out (!!) and how she is about to take the modeling world by storm! Emma opens up and offers refreshing advice on self-acceptance, relationships, and pursuing your dreams regardless of societal norms. Speaking of relationships, Raeann and her boyfriend hard launched on social media and it accidentally went viral! If you're curious about how they met, head over to Patreon for a full Q&A. Both Raeann and Kristina chat about how they want their partners to become influencers, like who doesn't want more content of Steve?! Speaking of, Steve and his "Fyre Festival of easter egg hunts" comments definitely would've been a hit. This week's obsessed with items revolve around pop culture, from JoJo Siwa's cringe-worthy rebrand to The Valley and Kristina's hatred of Jesse on the show. This episode featuring Emma Arleta offers incredible insights that we're obsessed with, and we hope you will be too!
