Relationships are great, but getting the confidence to stay true to your standards? That's a gift - my friend. I'm joined by Jessica Hottle for this conversation about dating, sex, relationships, confidence....how to really know who you're dating and how to hold onto your standards (even when he's nice) We are all designed for relationships, so it definitely gets lonely when you're single. But I'm opening up about why I broke off my engagement to encourage you and show you that it's worth being single for as long as it takes to make sure you're not stuck with someone who doesn't love you well.
Making big changes can make you regret not doing it sooner - don't be like that. You can choose a perspective of confidence and see the opportunities before you, rather than the time behind you. Change is a good thing and instead of worrying what people think about your decisions, move forward with confidence! Have you signed up for The Confidence Kickstart yet? Girl. What are you waiting for? I've been known to just "take things down" so get it while you can :) www.rebekahbuege.com/programs to sign up now!
I'm a nationally ranked competitive speaker - I've won several state championships in competitive speaking events. NERD alert, I know. But through all this - I know how to put words together. In this episode, I'm sharing some basic things to help you speak with confidence, because even if you're not in front of a microphone or crowd of people - the more confident you are when you speak, the more people hear what you have to say. These tips are actually backed up by the biblical teaching in James 1:19 "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry." Still sleeping on The Confidence Kickstart? Feeling sexy in your body is a huge part of confidence, but I want you to think about why sexiness is so important to you. Social conditioning starts young, especially for girls about their body. We're taught (conditioned) to believe our bodies are designed for sex. The more men who find us sexually attractive, the more worthy women are. This needs to stop if you're ever going to feel freedom and confidence in not only your body, but who you are in every aspect of your life. Program --> www.rebekahbuege.com/programs
You don't need to become more like men in order to be confident and secure as a woman. One frustration I've had as a confident woman is finding that balance. How to be strong without overbearing? How to be a leader without being emasculating? Basically, how to be a confident woman without becoming a man. There are feminine qualities of leadership and masculine qualities, but at the core - there are biblical principles that show us leadership is about serving and sacrifice - not about power or control. The bible actually offers encouragement to confident women with capabilities to lead - because God designed you with those traits, He's gonna use them!
How many times have we heard "like a girl" used to insult something? As women, there's extra work we need to do to believe that feminine things aren't bad...but actually good. It's up to us to decide what makes us feel feminine, why, and practice that when we're doubting our self worth.
Of course you're insecure, we've been conditioned to believe our femininity makes us inferior. Hearing "like a girl" tacked on to devalue or insult someone deeply injures a woman's identity and confidence. In this episode, I'm sharing how to reclaim feminine qualities as a good thing, something to be desired, respected, and honored - starting with you, and expanding outward.

Periods were a *hush*hush topic in my house growing up, unless it was just us girls. Something that's so integral to womanhood shouldn't be hidden, shamed, or resented but that's really how I felt about my period for years. In this episode, I'm sharing how I changed my perspective on my menstrual cycle and now feel completely at peace with my period (with almost zero cramps)
THIS ONE IS GOLD. Heather is the author of the book "Compared to Who" and our conversation goes deep into the ideals we each hold based on where our comparisons come from. Heather shares how she discovered her "ideal" woman - and how you can walk in confidence as you get off the treadmill of self improvement and live the life God is calling you for.
