In what might be the most anticipated Marvel story of 2021, we catch up with the God of Mischief himself, Loki, after he escaped from the Endgame timeline using the Tesseract (the security around that thing is, shall we say, lacking). Listen to find out what we liked, what we're wondering, and how we interpreted the 70s aesthetic straight out of your Lola's living room (sans plastic covering the furniture). In the last third of the show, we get our first impressions of the new Ratchet and Clank. What does Mike think of this new effort from Insomniac Games and should you buy it? All will be answered in due time, young padawan. Paciencia Y Fé.

We talk about all the things were excited for this summer, including Marvel stuff, PS5 games, comics, and more! We also discuss whether DC can pull off something they've shown no aptitude for to date: a compelling and insightful story brought to life by talented film makers. Will this be their success story or is this just a tokenization cash grab? Listen and let us know what you think!

You might think we had nothing to talk about so we did a mail bag episode. Not so. This was a chance to connect with those of you who have been talking to us about the pod and giving us your own takes. We received great questions and we yoked some moon shots into the upper deck. Just call us Karl Malone because we delivered. Send in your questions and we'll try to answer them. Caution to all Pelicans fans, we spend a little bit of time talking about the 2021 MVP, Julius Randle. And as the show title implies, we try to figure out who Savon would actually be impressed by. Listen to find out who we picked and who he thinks he would get him weak in the knees.

The Knicks making the playoffs for the first time in a long time is the backdrop for this glorious episode that doesn't have anything to do with Jimmy Dolan's third favorite hobby. Only one of us is a Knicks fan and that fan is going to be distracted because the Knicks were playing an important game while we were recording. You didn't come here for an NBA update, though, did you? In this week's show, we're bringing new, and impatient, insights into Breath of the Wild and one of us blew all of our allowance on Invincible Comics. In the second half of the show we discuss our initial impressions of the Bad Batch, a new Star Wars animated series. One of us didn't get the memo that we were trying to get the Mickey Dollars and poo poos it a bit. Find out who in the show.
Time stamps:
2:02 - Wesley plays Breath of the Wild
12:42 - Brian relays his experience with the Invincible comics
23:18 - The Bad Batch

In one of the craziest plot twists, we find out that Savon has missed out on a must-watch game and a must-watch movie. All of our minds are completely blown. Savon may have to record next show from the dunce cap station. Unbelievable. In the second half of the show we talk about a game that is sometimes described as one of the best games ever made: Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Listen in to hear more about the incredible vibes served up the game.

This episode will have spoilers. We talk about the magnificent first season of Invincible. Despite the animation being less polished, the writers and cast deliver an unbelievable season finale. If you haven't seen it yet, we all recommend it two thumbs up. Even Savon, who likes to sit on the fence about these things is 100% an Invincibro. Watch the show and then listen to this podcast. (Don't miss episode #021 where we discuss the first half of Invincible's first season!)

In this episode we have a crazy revelation -- It turns out Mike actually LOVES the last Star Wars trilogy despite all of his protestations the past few years. Listen in for the moment he gives it away. While we're up to our usual shenanigans, we do reflect on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and what we're taking away from it, the good and the bad. And we all take a moment to celebrate Carl Lumbly's work throughout the series portraying Isaiah Bradley. Listen and subscribe and tell your friends about us!

It's been a couple weeks since we last put out a show! We're excited to be back in the podcast studio (aka wherever our computer is) to chop it up about The Falcon and The Winter Soldier episodes 2-5. We'll talk about what we've liked, what we haven't, and why Marvel bloat may be to blame. Listen and subscribe and leave us a comment on instagram! @confidnetly_pod
