Confidently Wrong

We joke around about the things we're loving right now and Savon explains his Starting 5 Drip Comics Heroes in Movies. We also find out that Wesley might have a fatal character flaw and the rest of us make fun of him for it.

Marvel released the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. We praise the heck out of it, especially how it handles trauma and race. We also watched Zack Snyder's Justice League, which means we deserve a t-shirt and medal. Listen to find out what stuck out to us about Snyder's epic team-up mulligan.

It's a classic What We're Loving episode! Raya, Lacrosse Ball Peanut, Hardwood Classics, and Silicon Valley. We also try to figure why NFTs are the new hot investment opportunity. Come for the hot takes, stay for the camaraderie. And would this be a nerd podcast if we didn't have the gif pronunciation debate at least once?

We opine on the PS5 as it approaches the 4 months in the wild and WandaVision series finale. Is the PS5 really pointless at this point? And is Wanda actually the best thing that's ever been made by Marvel Studios? We try to answer those very loaded questions on today's pod. Let us know where you stand by leaving a comment on our twitter or instagram (@confidently_pod).

What We're Loving - We talk about cool stuff that you should be watching and as it turns out, everything we're watching right now is about duality and contrast. Warning: If you love Cameron Diaz, don't listen. You'll just be sad. Everyone else, enjoy the show!

In episode #14, Mike is phallically transfixed watching the Godzilla vs. Kong trailer and Savon is meh about everything. Also, does Zack Snyder actually hate movies? We talk about trailers for upcoming movies as fans and find out why Raya is appealing to some of us and a total miss for the others. We also dig into the question of whether WandaVision, at this point, is actually the best MCU project released (to this point). Episode 6 and 7 spoilers await.

Wesley interviews his buddy Myles about how he would tweak Savon's Marvel Heroes starting 5 and what he thinks is really going on in WandaVision. We basically call Wolverine useless and shed some light on who Agnes might really be. Myles has a lot of comic book knowledge that he's bringing to the table so he lays down some predictions. Spoilers abound! (Recorded after Episode 6 of WandaVision)

Mike recounts the incredible story of the time Savon met a celebrity but had no idea. He just carries on his normal self and even gives them words of encouragement because that's just the type of guy he is.

It takes a lot of guts to continue to shout out sponsors that pay us no money and don't know we exist. It takes commitment to continue to make call backs to Oceans 11. And it certainly takes cajones to drop as dismal a grade as Mike did for Harley Quinn, the animated series streaming on HBO Max, which was frankly, a masterpiece. Not only that, Mike also takes another L when tooting his own horn about WandaVision episode 3. Enjoy Mike being incredibly wrong for 60 minutes! To his credit, he does share a magnificent story about the time Savon negged a celebrity. If you'd like to hear the extended discussion of that ridiculous story, it's being posted as its own bonus episode. Easter egg alert: Listen all the way through the end of the episode for the unedited first take opener we did for the show.

Comfy.com and the comfy brand are not affiliated in any way with the show. We just think it's funny to keep mentioning them.

Savon gives his terrible starting 5 marvel superhero team and we marvel at WandaVisions first episodes. Does Savon's Team feature Professor X? nope. Does his team feature Thor? by the gods, no. Does his team feature Wolverine? not a chance, bub. Does his team feature Spider-Man? Sorry no. Does his team feature Iron Man? It does not. How about Storm? heavens no. For sure it must feature the Hulk at least? smash that idea! wrong again! Well who does it feature if not those amazing heroes? Listen in to find out.
