Chuck Johnson gives a quick thank you to all the supporters of DuBois Rotary after a record-breaking 2020 Rotary Radio Auction!

Over the weekend, the Rotary Radio Auction broke an all-time record and raised more than $36,000!

Thank you to everyone who donated items and placed bids!

This is the Rotary’s only fundraiser, so it’s incredibly important that people call in each year to place bids and make donations.

All of the money stays within our own community and will provide scholarships, teen leaderships training, and support for local non-profit organizations. This includes DuBois Area United Way, Reitz Theater, Special Olympics, American Red Cross, DuBois Free Medical Clinic, Girls Scouts of America, Bucktail Council, the DuBois Public Library and many other worthy causes.

Treasure Lake is raising money for a veterans memorial!

They're holding a Leap Year Dance on Saturday, Feb. 29 from 7 p.m. until midnight at the Lakeview Lodge and Conference Center.

Tickets are $10 each, or $5 for veterans with a military ID. Tickets available at the Lakeview Lodge and Duffer's Tavern.

The DuBois Area Bridal Association hosts the area’s largest bridal expo on Sunday, March 1 at the DuBois Area Middle School.

This year the bride and groom will be free, additional attendees will be $3 each.

The vendor area will open at noon and the fashion show will start at 3 p.m.

Featuring more than 50 vendors, you will be dazzled by the fashion show.

Nevaeh Lindemuth.

Nevaeh is a tenth grade student in the Culinary Arts program.

She is a competitor on the Jeff Tech ProStart team, a judged competition focusing on restaurant management and culinary arts. Culinary students on the ProStart team spend a lot of time after school practicing the skills they are going to showcase during competition.

She also competes in SkillsUSA in Culinary Arts. Nevaeh is a member of the Culinary Club, Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) and the aevidum club.

In her spare time, she is an Arc of Learning tutor at C.G. Johnson and also participates in the Jefferson County Relay for Life.

Nevaeh currently works at Annie’s Hometown Restaurant and after graduating from Jeff Tech would like to one day own her own restaurant.

Her home school is the DuBois Area School District and she is the daughter of Ayla Becker of DuBois.
