Today is the second part of a two-part interview with Blake Widmer of Deaf Can! Coffee in Jamaica. Through coffee they carry on the legacy of Everlin Clarke, a deaf coffee farmer whose deep conviction that his deafness was a gift from God and that he could help change the world inspired students from the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf. Since meeting Everlin and brewing their first cups of coffee, they’ve built a thriving enterprise and have become champion baristas, consistently winning top honors at the Blue Mountain Coffee Festival.
In this interview, you’ll learn:
Shot of Coffee Wisdom: Who wins a brew-off between a French Press and a Moka Pot?
Caffeine and Weirdness: Coffee and Music. Is there weirdness there?

This looks like a good little beginner level brew pot. https://amzn.to/31IuGvu

This is the one we use. It has two stainless steel cups included which are very cool and worth the price by themselves. Easy to use, I love it! https://amzn.to/3fNIpGt
Bialetti Moka Espresso Coffee Maker - 6 Cups
This is the top name in Moka pots. https://amzn.to/3itU52K
French press
Bodum Brazil French Press Coffee Maker, 34 Ounce
This is a great option. I used it before I upgraded. It is clear, so you can see what is happening. It is not insulated, so drink fast or make coffee for friends! https://amzn.to/2DvCE3f
Coffee Gator French Press Coffee Maker - Thermal Insulated Brewer Plus Travel Jar - Large Capacity, Double Wall Stainless Steel - 34oz
This is the one I use regularly. I love the insulation, which keeps your coffee hot for a good long while. The airtight jar is great for traveling. It comes in many colors (I have orange, of course!).
