The choreography of astro energies dancing through the skies, invites us to step into a new awareness of who we are in relationships, how we perceive them, and what our current dance routine is. With this, we can feel into if this is the relationship dance we still want to continue. Last week, we explored the Inner Marriage. This week, we explore our relationship dance.
The scales of Libra—though a perfect symbol for the energies of the sign—often trap me into a false idea of “balance” in relationships. So, I prefer to see it as a dance. There is motion and movement on both sides. We are influenced by and responding to each other. We can make harmony or, we can make discordance. So, are we…
* Bumping into each other, frustrated by the disharmony of our dance, trapped in blame and abandonment?
* Refusing to learn any new connective dance moves for fear of failure and rejection, laziness and apathy?
* Expecting the other person to lift us up, but we don’t actually trust that they have us, and aren’t jumping?
Being awesome dance partners requires joy, trust, patience, learning, attunement, adventure and a desire to make something beautiful together. That is what’s available to us this Libra season, should we allow ourselves to receive it.
Images to inspire…
The Solar Eclipse and New Moon in Libra lands on October 2nd, and these energies are inviting us to explore a new template, and way of relating. How we experience relationships depends on a lot of things from our past, and while we cannot change that, there is a new octave of wholeness, acceptance, enjoyment and presence that is available to all of us this season.
Join me in this very special episode of Connect the Dots with Amelia Perkins, and open to the possibility of what this new template of relationships can be for all of us, starting within—with the Inner Marriage.

…and here are some incredible images for added sweetness!
Happy Autumn Equinox! This time of equal day and night can bring to light where in our lives we require a bit of balance.
Heightened by eclipse season, our notions and ideas of balance, perfect harmony, the desire for diplomacy, and honouring others in our lives can be challenged. This is certainly real for me right now as I confront my ideas of who I am in larger, newer groups and communities.
As such, the theme we are exploring over the next few weeks of Libra Season is Union. The invitation here, is not to force the idea of union, but come into a rhythm of accepting different (polarized or fragmented) aspects of ourselves, so that our way forward is a little sweeter.
Today’s Harmonics Equinox & the Eternal Balance Episode Replay
If you’d love nothing more than a deeper dive into energies of this equinox, here’s most recent episode from Today’s Harmonics—a radio-show my dear friend Rachel Z and I put out weekly!
In this packed, and frankly juicy episode, we share how we are coming to tender realization of balance in relationships with others, as well as ourselves. We also share our favourite themes of balance (struggle and realization) from comics and fantasy worlds, and how we are working through it (tips and invitations are at the end of the episode). Click below, it’s a really fun one! :)
We’re about to go into Eclipse season, with the first of two occurring on September 17th. This is the (partial) Lunar Eclipse and Full Moon in Pisces.
The dynamic here is the relationship between our dreams, our unmanifest and our longings (Moon in Pisces) and how they show up in tangible and sustainable ways in the fields of our lives (Sun in Virgo).
Our journey, choices and actions are grounded by the presence of the Delphinium plant, which are the radiant blue and while flowers pictured by me in this video.
I’m exploring what it is to redefine the experience of Boredom. What it is exactly that I’m avoiding.
What it could feel like to not have my attention or desires pulled by anything.
What comes from leaving my mind fallow just for a little while.
I’d love to know what is rising for you if you explore this as a way to rest and restore the mind.
How much of our today is spent on problems of the past?
Are we approaching the situation in front of us now, solely based on what happened last time?
How much of our life-force is actively going towards our renewed Self?
Renewal doesn’t just happen in one event. It happens over time by thousands of micro-decisions, an acceptance of cycles and a desire for something better!
This week, after integrating some of the beautiful eclipse energies of last week, I explored how I sustained or blocked the energy of renewal within me.
I hope this video meets you where you are at!
