April 2020 Update: The term Legacy has been replaced by PARALLEL
African proverb: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
Create and nurture your personal board of directors by surrounding yourself with relationships where the individuals come together because they are committed to building and creating something that will go beyond and outlive the relationship. You share a common vision and goals.

What a treat to learn about how we sabotage ourselves when we are not conscious of our feelings and needs. Terry Doherty was a true ray of sunlight and brought depth and compassion to the subject of non-violent communication.
Some key points:
● Self-connection requires us to be mindful of our feelings and needs
● Learn how to listen to others with no judgment (especially ourselves)
● People don't fight about needs; they fight about our strategies

I promised to kick butt this new year by going to my martial arts class in the afternoon. Then I got "busy" and missed the class. For me, "busy" is yet another creative way to resist doing something whether I am aware of it in the moment or not.
What are you resisting in your life? How does it show up?
